“I’m in the big business, but I have a team to run the business for me, sir. Even if I’m not around in the
office for months, the company will still be fine. I think I can start training and see where I go from there.
“I am looking to hire bodyguards. I hope you can recommend some capable and trustworthy individuals
for the job. I can offer the same great benefits as my office workers. I will make it worth their while if
they do a good job.”
Quinn said that Power Fitness was not just about training strength, but also to direct the students to a
life of integrity. The Crawfords would not tolerate bullying or lawbreaking from any of the students.
They would punish and cut ties with students who abused their training, not wanting to be associated
with them anymore.
As such, Julian could have the utmost confidence in the people recommended by Dave.
Julian would have to keep up with the lies like Zachary if he hired Dave’s recommendations though.
Technically, Julian did not have to pretend he was poor. The only thing he kept from Quinn was that henovelbin
was the heir of the Buchams.
“In that case, let’s go ahead with it.
“It’s almost dark out. You’ve come a long way, so you should get some rest today. I’ll take you on a tour
of our family gym tomorrow. When you are sure you can handle the training, you can make up your
mind then.”
The family needed to assess Julian’s character too.
Newly enrolled students at the gym were mostly young kids who could be molded and guided to the
right path, whereas Julian was a successful businessman in his thirties. He had come across all walks
of life, and his innocence had probably been tainted by society.
The question was whether Julian still had a conscience.
How much of his kindness was still there?
Dave needed to make sure Julian was trustworthy before he could accept him to join the gym.
He could not possibly allow Julian to ruin the good reputation the Crawfords had upheld so far.
“Okay. The main purpose of the trip is to visit you and to thank Ms. Crawford. I’m grateful for her help
the other night. Otherwise, I would’ve been robbed, kidnapped, and blackmailed.
“There’s one more thing I need to ask of you.”
Dave said, “Do tell.”
“Zachary York of the wealthiest family in Wiltspoon will be getting married in two days. I am friends with
Zachary as we have worked together in partnerships and projects. I will be a groomsman at his
wedding.
“Ms. Crawford seems interested in Zachary and Serenity’s wedding. I thought I could bring her along to
the wedding as a favor since she saved my life.
“When Ms. Crawford was in Wiltspoon, she said she needed to escort the children back here in case
their parents would worry.”
“But I know she wants to attend the wedding. I will take her to Wiltspoon for the wedding and bring her
back when I officially join the gym.”
Dave was speechless.
His daughter loved reading gossip. During her free time, Quinn would watch mini-series on her phone
or read romance novels. Many of the mini-series were based on novels. She would read the book of
the mini-series she enjoyed.
Quinn started to get interested in novels that revolved around the romance between a CEO and a plain
Jane. Now that the situation was happening in real life, she wanted to meet these real-life characters in
person.
To Quinn, it was like meeting her favorite celebrities.
