Chapter 2395

“Ms. Crawford, please don’t feel obliged to bring out a lot of food.”

Julian smiled.

Quinn smiled. “I’m not bringing out much. Just some fruit and snacks. My mom hasn’t finished cooking.

You must be hungry after a long journey here. You should have something to tide you over.

“Have a chat with Mr. Bucham, Dad. I’ll help Mom in the kitchen,” Quinn said and returned to the

kitchen.

Julian looked at Quinn’s receding back and raved about her to Dave. “Ms. Crawford is a kind and

talented woman. She is beautiful, and a skilled fighter. She handles herself well and would make a

good wife. You have raised her well, sir.”

Dave replied with a smile, “You’re too kind, Julian. Quinn is a good kid.”

In fact, Dave loved it when people complimented his daughter.

“I heard from my daughter that you would like to enroll in our gym. How old are you now, Julian?”

After an exchange of pleasantries, Dave cut to the chase.

Julian answered, “I know I’m a little old to start learning the art of self-defense now. Ms. Crawford had

told me that I could probably learn some basics for fitness due to my age.

“Ms. Crawford mentioned that you’d need to see if I have the potential to take self-defense one step

further, sir.

“Oh, and I’m thirty-four.”

Julian played it smart this time. He was turning thirty-five, but he did not have to say that until after his

birthday.novelbin

Dave took a sip of the beverage. He put down the glass and checked Julian out. A while later, he

replied, “It’s a little late for you to start training at your age, Julian.

“No matter your age, beginners always start from the basics at our gym. As to how far you can go, it

depends on your talent and dedication.”

Quinn’s brothers would train the new and promising students up to a certain point, from which Dave

would take over. The elites of the gym would represent Power Fitness in various competitions and bring

glory to the gym.

Power Fitness emphasized character building and integrity. The students would go out to the world and

contribute to society whenever they could.

Most of them would join the police academy or army.

“I’m nearing retirement, so I’m not taking any new students, except for the rare exception. I’m talking

about young, talented students.”

Dave did not intend to let Julian train directly under him.

However, Julian was a CEO, and he traveled from afar. It made sense that Julian wanted to learn self-

defense since he was almost robbed.

Dave reflected on it before replying, “You can start at my gym together with the other beginners to learn

the basics. Once you get the basics down, we can teach you a few moves to defend yourself. Training

takes time and dedication.

“If you’re too busy to spare a few hours a day, I’m afraid we can’t teach you much.

“The best advice I’d give you is to hire a team of bodyguards. My students who are looking for jobs

could work for you in the security department. They are long-time students, and I can vouch for them to

protect you.”

Julian understood that Dave would not take him under his wing, an answer he had braced himself for.

He had learned self-defense since he was a child, so he knew Dave and Quinn were being honest with

him.
