Chapter 2394

Julian mentioned that his parents were pressuring him to get married too.

Quinn believed it made sense that Julian’s parents were worried because he was in his thirties.

However, Quinn was still young, in her twenties. Yet, her mother was worried she might never find a

man.

Still, Quinn was not interested in marriage. When the time came to that, she would find someone who

was not intimidated by her fighting skills.

“You should worry about Will and Mark, Mom. Will is thirty-two, and Mark is twenty-eight. I’ll get married

after them.”

Zoey grew frustrated at the mention of her sons.

She whined, “I don't understand the minds of young people nowadays. In my era, it was normal to think

about marriage when we reached eighteen. But now, people are not as interested in marriage.

“More families choose to have one child now. The way I see it, it’s better to have at least two children.

The more the merrier.

“With big families, the kids can share the responsibility of caring for elderly parents. The children

wouldn’t have to face the burden alone.”

Quinn listened to Zoey nag and replied with a smile, “What? You mean the children can talk about who

gets to pull the plug? You should know that young people nowadays are stressed about life.

“They have mortgages, car loans, and high living costs to consider. It can be difficult to save up a

deposit for a house in this day of age, much less afford to raise a child. Things aren’t like they used to

be during your time.

“It can be very stressful to survive on one's own, let alone raise a child and care for an elderly person.

Our family is fortunate to be doing well, but not everyone is as fortunate as us.”

The family gym had been passed down for generations, and the wealth had grown over time. The

Crawfords were comfortable thanks to the family business.

Zoey said nothing.

Her old classmates had not been as fortunate. They still had to work well into their sixties just to

survive. Their children did not have any spare income to fund their expenses.

Quinn put the drinks on the tray and carried it out of the kitchen.

Dave and Julian seemed to be having a pleasant talk. They were smiling when Quinn came back.

Quinn approached them with the tray and gave them a drink each.

“Please enjoy, Mr. Bucham.”

Julian thanked her.

Dave was impressed by Julian's poise and good manners.

After finding out that Julian was the CEO of a major corporation, Dave could not stop gushing about

Julian's youth and promise.

Quinn went to cut some fruits and brought out some snacks to put on the coffee table.

She put the gifts from Julian on another table. Otherwise, there would not be any space left for the

snacks.

These things would be returned to Julian when he was to leave.novelbin

Even if the Crawfords were to accept his gifts, they could only accept at most half of them.
