Chapter 2369

Brenda and Amy, who were once the young ladies of the Newmans, had lost their arrogance and

elegance.

They stood at the villa’s entrance in ordinary clothing with not a piece of expensive jewelry in sight.

Neither were any Hermès bags.

They even took a taxi over because they did not have a car.

The two families had sold everything they could to pay off their debts and had no choice but to live in

rented houses.novelbin

Although Amy and Brenda were born into the Newmans when they were not as rich as now, they were

still well-off. The sisters had never experienced hardships or financial struggles.

They obtained a generous amount of money from their parents when they got married because then

the family had become wealthier. Their husbands’ families were equally rich.

Now, despite being grandmothers, they were forced to live in poor conditions after losing their wealth.

Job finding was difficult due to their old age and pampered attitude. The only job available for them was

to be cleaners.

Previously, a cleaner’s salary would only last Amy and Brenda a few days.

Practicing frugality was hard for them as they were used to luxury.

Amy and Brenda could not stand the tough life. They returned brazenly, wanting to ask Camryn to let

them off the hook.

Realization dawned on them that the most ruthless people in the Newman family were not their brother

and sister-in-law but Camryn.

Camryn was lucky enough to marry into the York family despite being blind. She had lived pitifully for

the past twenty years but from now onward, she would be able to enjoy a luxurious life.

Perhaps the heavens were compensating her for everything she had gone through.

“Open the door, Camryn. I’m your aunt.”

“We were wrong, Camryn. We won’t fight you for the inheritance anymore. Please have mercy on us,”

Amy shouted.

The Newmans’ neighbors were aware of the infighting started by Amy and Brenda for their share of the

inheritance.

It would have been logical for them to demand inheritance if the Newman’s family assets were under

their parents’ names. However, their parents had already divided the estate before they died of illness,

which the sisters had inherited a portion of.

Before Cain, the heir of the Newman family was Camryn’s father, Abel. However, Abel had somehow

discovered his wife’s evil schemes and bequeathed all his assets to Camryn.

The Newman family’s business belonged to Abel initially, but the company ended up in Cain’s hands

after he passed away.

The family wealth was accumulated through Cain’s good management of the company.

Camryn was Cain’s stepdaughter, so she had inheritance rights too. After Cain and Paige went to

prison, Camryn had successfully taken over Newman Enterprise with Dalton’s assistance.

It made no sense for Amy and Brenda to demand a share of the Newman’s family assets after marrying

into another family.

After all, their brothers had children of their own. Unless Camryn and her siblings died, Amy and

Brenda would not have a chance to inherit anything.

Someone exited the villa and Brenda immediately said to Amy, “That blind girl is out.”

Camryn had always been able to move around freely in her residence. Even now, she did not need a

cane to navigate her way as she walked straight toward the gates.

Amy and Brenda did not think too much about it. They knew Dr. Carden was treating Camryn’s eyes,

but they did not believe it would be successful.

Throughout the ten years Camryn was blind, there had been no progress in spite of the number of

doctors she had consulted.
