“Okay.”
Camryn got Trenton to sit. She asked, “Why did you come back all of a sudden? There are no special
occasions. Don’t you have classes?”
“I was quite worried after our call last time. I wanted to know how you were doing after the treatment,novelbin
so I requested a leave of absence to visit you.”
“You could’ve done it over a call. You should return to school as soon as possible after a brief stay.”
Callum chimed in, “Since Trenton’s home, he can attend Zachary’s wedding before heading back to
uni.”
Camryn asked how many days of leave Trenton had requested.
“A week.”
Zachary and Serenity’s wedding would be held in three days.
Camryn said, “You can return to school after attending Zachary’s wedding. Next time, don’t skip classes
if there’s nothing urgent. You should concentrate on your studies and come home during the winter
break. I can arrange an internship for you to train yourself.”
She would never monopolize Newman Enterprise. Trenton would always have a share.
“I’m not interested in doing business, Camryn.”
Trenton did not want to meddle in the family business and felt that only one of them could be in charge
of the company at any time.
If he joined Newman Enterprise, the senior employees who supported his father would naturally be
biased toward him.
Camryn was in the midst of gathering those who would pledge their allegiance to her.
Even if Camryn and Trenton had no intention of going against each other, their supporters would fight it

After a short silence, Camryn asked, “Have you thought of what you want to do after graduation?”
“I like drawing and photography. I might be an artist or a photographer.”
Camryn neither encouraged nor objected. She simply said, “You’ll be paid for working at the company
during your summer and winter breaks. We can think about the future another time.”
Trenton hummed in agreement. He then asked Callum, “Is Zachary getting married?”
Callum corrected him. “My brother is already married. They’re just having their wedding reception now.”
Trenton laughed sheepishly. It was a slip of his tongue.
“I came back just in time for Zachary’s wedding then.”
Camryn’s eyes were also in recovery. He believed that her eyesight would return to normal soon.
Trenton felt as if light had entered his world again. It was no longer shrouded in darkness.
A maid entered and Camryn looked toward her. Despite not being able to see the maid’s face, she
could recognize the sound of her footsteps.
“Mrs. Joyner and Mrs. Chandler are here again. They refuse to leave without meeting you. They said
they would even lie down at the gates if you wouldn’t see them.”
The Joyners’ and Chandlers’ businesses had failed miserably and their companies had gone bankrupt.
They were forced to sell luxury items such as houses, cars, and jewelry to pay off the debt.
It was only then the two families finally understood fear.
They were experiencing the consequence of bothering Camryn.
The York men were especially protective and were the last people anyone would want to offend.
