Chapter 2367
Camryn hugged Trenton after calming down.
Trenton glanced at Callum, worried he would get jealous.novelbin
He had heard rumors of how overbearing his future brother-in-law was, but Callum could probably
tolerate it since he was Camryn’s brother.
Trenton recalled that Camryn was cold and often ignored him when he was young. However, when he
fell, she would always help him up and soothe him in her arms.
Trenton had liked Camryn for as long as he could remember. His aloof sister would only express her
concern whenever he fell down.
Hence, he liked falling because it was the only way to make Camryn show her concern for him. In his
memories, her embrace was frail yet heartwarming.
When Trenton was younger, he could never understand why his mother treated Camryn badly or why
Camryn always ignored him.
As he grew older, he finally discovered that he and Camryn did not share the same father.
Although they shared the same mother, Paige never liked Camryn. Whenever Trenton saw Camryn
getting scolded or beaten up by their mother, he could not bear to see it and would rush over to protect
her.
Carrie had other plans though. She suggested that their mother enroll Trenton into a boarding school to
send him away from home. That way, he would be unable to protect Camryn.
As the only son in the family, Trenton was much loved by his parents. Even if they had sent him to the
best boarding school in Wiltspoon, the reason behind it was just to stop him from protecting Camryn.
Every time Trenton came home, Camryn had always reminded him to be cautious.
Nevertheless, she turned blind and also almost lost her life. It was fortunate that their Aunt Evelyn had
found her and sent her to the hospital to be rescued.
Flashbacks made Trenton feel guilty. He yearned for Camryn’s embrace again.
“Camryn.”
Trenton could not care less whether Callum would be jealous or not. He hugged Camryn tightly.
After the hug, he apologized to her. “I’m sorry that I wasn’t nice to you during summer break. I’ll be
more reasonable from now on. Even if you didn’t sue Mom, Dad, and Carrie, they would’ve been
sentenced to prison anyway.
“Their wrongdoings were discovered long ago.
“I don’t hate you, Camryn. I avoided you because I couldn’t accept that you sent them to jail. I was
almost used by Aunt Amy and Aunt Brenda too.”
Trenton was thankful that he held his ground despite his aunts' instigation. He decided against siding
with them to oppose Camryn, or let himself be used to snatch over Newman Enterprise.
He was just a university student who knew nothing about managing a company nor business.
Dalton was brought into Newman Enterprise by Camryn as a spy. He managed to climb the corporate
ladder and assisted Camryn wholeheartedly. It was best to leave the company to him, and Trenton was
cognizant of this.
Newman Enterprise would still belong to the Newmans when Camryn was to head it. It would, however,
fall into the hands of the Chandler and Joyner families if Aunt Amy’s or Aunt Brenda’s children were to
take over.
Camryn covered Trenton’s mouth. Her eyes were wide open. Her blurry vision did not affect the beauty
of her eyes.
“Trenton, we’re siblings. I don’t hold any grudges against you. I don’t want to hear you blaming
yourself.”
