Chapter 2353

Serenity said amusedly, “I think it was an accident. Chloe didn’t mean to hit her brother.”

Jane smiled. “The little guy is a crybaby. Connor and Oliver can have a crying match.”novelbin

Serenity knew that Lilian’s son, Oliver, was a fusser too. Lilian was afraid of his cries, and was always

tempted to run and hide every time he shed tears.

In fact, Lilian came all the way to Wiltspoon and stayed for a while after treating Camryn’s eyes.

She said she would only return to FC Manor after Serenity and Zachary’s wedding since Oliver was in

good hands with her mentor.

The legendary doctor had more experience caring for babies than Lilian did, having raised her himself.

Lilian also left her student, Laurence, in his care.

She adopted a hands-off approach with Laurence, only testing him every once in a while.

Laurence was about the age of Sonny, but his memory and comprehension were much better than

Sonny’s. Otherwise, Lilian would not have chosen him as her student.

Lilian had met Sonny, and she told Serenity that Sonny had the potential to make a good career in

business and that with Zachary’s guidance, Sonny could have a bright future.

“Kids love to fuss at this age. Sonny was a crybaby when he was an infant too.”

“Antonia, can I hold Chloe?” Elisa asked her future mother-in-law.

Antonia happily released her precious granddaughter to let Elisa hold. She said with a smile, “Chloe is

an easy child.”

With a baby in her arms, Elisa dared not move. She rarely held a child so young.

Soon, she returned Chloe to Antonia and commented with a smile, “I think you should hold her instead,

Antonia. I’ve never carried such a young infant. I’m too scared to walk in case I drop her.”

Antonia replied with a grin, “It’s okay. You’ll feel comfortable after holding the child a few times.”

Serenity invited Antonia and Jane into the living room.

Connor stopped crying once they were inside.

“Is Liberty home?” Jane asked.

“She went out. She’s busy with the restaurant. She has an emergency to attend to.

“Sonny is in preschool. He was whining before school that his Uncle Zack didn’t need to go to work

while he had to go to school.”

Jane chuckled and responded, “His uncle is on marital leave. I doubt a child has marital leave too.”

“Sonny thinks he only goes to school when adults are working. It’s not normal to him that he still has to

go to school when adults aren’t working.”

“I see that Laurence didn’t join you on this trip. Oh, that’s right. He has to attend preschool too.”

Serenity smiled. “After the summer we spent in your city, Sonny often misses Laurence. Liberty would

compare Sonny to Laurence whenever he did something wrong.”

Sonny saw Laurence as his rival. Although they were young, Sonny realized that Laurence was

superior to him after spending time together. Laurence knew much more than he did, and was even

better at fighting.

Sonny wanted to be stronger and better than Laurence.

Liberty told Sonny that he would not be able to keep up with Laurence if he gave up on things easily,

like when he did not want to attend preschool.

The little man would pout and carry his school bag before going to school.

“Laurence often talks about Sonny too. He kept asking when Sonny would come to the house again.”
