Chapter 2349

“That’s how children are.”

Mrs. Lane said, “It’ll get better once they grow up. Although Sonny doesn’t want to attend school, he

doesn’t make a big fuss about it. At most, he would purposely move slowly to waste time. Even

someone as good-tempered as Ms. Liberty could not stand his dilly-dallying.

“She said despite Sonny’s slow movements, he was afraid of being late because it was embarrassing.novelbin

“Sometimes, Ms. Liberty deliberately leaves Sonny behind and walks off with his bag. He would then

panic and cry.”

Elisa said, “I guess it’s better to watch other people’s kids than have one myself.”

Sonny was an obedient kid to her. She could not believe that what she saw was only the tip of the

iceberg. She would probably go crazy from looking after a child every day.

Mrs. Lane laughed. “That’s true. We often find other people’s children adorable and want many of our

own. However, when we raise our own, they’re like little devils.”

Elisa decided she would let Remy be in charge of the children after they married and had kids. He

could care for them while she watched. She would feed and play with them, but she would leave their

education to Remy.

That sounded irresponsible of her.

“Mrs. York, Ms. Elisa’s here.”

Mrs. Lane called Serenity after entering the house.

Serenity had been watching television as she was bored. When she heard Mrs. Lane and spotted

Elisa, she stood and happily approached Elisa.

She complained, “You haven’t visited me for so long. I was going to die of boredom.”

She could not help in the wedding planning nor work at the office. Even when she visited the

bookstore, Jasmine would chase her home telling her to do nothing and just wait to be a beautiful bride

on her wedding day.

Serenity was used to the hustle and bustle. She felt uneasy not being able to do anything all of a

sudden.

“It hasn’t been many days. I went on a business trip recently and finally sealed the deal I had failed

several times before. We finally ended the discussions and signed an agreement two days ago. We

have another huge client now.”

Elisa held Serenity’s arm and sat on the sofa with her.

“I think we have to expand our vegetable farm, Seren. What do you think?”

“It’s great that our business is doing well. We can look for farming lands that are open for rent and

obtain them after my wedding.”

Elisa released Serenity’s arm and touched her stomach before saying, “You have a baby now. Will

Zachary allow you to go for site visits with me? Aren’t you two going on a honeymoon? You can have

your honeymoon somewhere near, like Wiltspoon.”

Serenity said, “We planned to go on a drive around Wiltspoon and a few neighboring cities for our

honeymoon.

“By the way, how are things going between you and Remy? I heard from Jane that the Johnsons visited

your family yesterday.”

Elisa’s smile widened, and she was even blushing. Based on her look, Serenity knew there was good

news coming soon.

“Remy’s family visited us and expressed their sincerity. My mom finally softened up and said I could do

as I wish and marry Remy. She also didn’t want to hold me back for too long as I seemed eager to get

married.”

Serenity was happy for Elisa. “Aunt Audrey had given her approval long ago. She simply couldn’t eat

her own words. The Johnsons’ visit gave her an out.”

Elisa knew Audrey seized the opportunity and gave her blessings. She said, “My mom only agreed

because of Julian’s interference. Although I was annoyed by him ‘pursuing’ me previously, I must admit

that his actions helped Remy and I greatly. My mom thought Remy was a better match for me than he

was. She’d rather I move to Annenburg after getting married than marry Julian.”
