Chapter 2311

“Alright. I’ll make the plans. I’ll show you a good time tonight.”

Kevin would do anything to get a date with Hayden.

She looked at him and smiled. “I’m happy just to be with you. You’re a joy to be around.”

Kevin chuckled gleefully.

Hayden was the wife for Kevin. She was a reliable and practical person, so he did not expect her to be

the type to say something sweet.

Although there was nothing suggestive or lovey-dovey about what she said, Kevin still took it as sweet

talk.

He was so smitten with her words that he could develop a sweet tooth.

During dinner, Kevin was attentive to Hayden’s needs. He would have fed Hayden if he could.

She amusedly looked at the big plate of food in front of her and said, “You didn’t have to order so much

food for me. I don’t know where to start.”

Kevin proceeded to order dessert and another drink for her, apparently to help her wash down the food.

Hayden had no words.

She then did the same to Kevin, ordering additional appetizers for him.

Kevin smiled brightly as he watched Hayden dig in.

“Eat. Why are you looking at me?”

“I enjoy looking at you. You’re my nourishment.”

“I’m sure you need more than that to survive…”

“No. I don’t need anything else. The men in my family can survive on one thing alone.”

“Right, but I ordered more than one dish for you. So much for surviving on one thing.”

Kevin was speechless. He paused, unsure whether to eat.

Hayden laughed as he looked conflicted. “You might as well call me an eye candy. Now, eat.”

“Hayden, I only have eyes for you. I’m serious.”

Hayden ate with grace. By the look on her face, she was in a good mood. She said, “A lifetime is

forever. How can you be sure? I don’t even know what the future holds.”

Many couples were initially committed because they were lovestruck. However, cheating often occurred

after marriage.

Kevin choked and said, “I know flattery won’t get me anywhere. I will prove to you with my actions, but

you need to give me a chance for that to happen.”

Hayden continued to relish in her dinner with ease.

“You’re asking me to bet on my lifetime.”

Kevin answered, “I’m taking a leap of faith too.”

Marriage was a gamble, to begin with.

Hayden took a sip of her beverage and responded, “How about a food challenge? Whoever eats the

most food in the fastest time without wasting any wins. If you win, I'll take the bet. If you lose, you're out

of luck.”

Kevin started to dig in.

Hayden was lost for words.

“Can’t you wait for me?”

Kevin stopped.

“We start after the count.”

“Okay.”

Kevin clutched his utensil, his nerves tensed as he waited for her to start the count.novelbin

Hayden readied herself and swiftly uttered, “Begin.”

The pair started eating.

Hayden’s table manners refrained her from wolfing down the food like Kevin, whereas his appearance

as a prestigious member of the York family did not matter to him now.

He polished off his plate and won.

Kevin’s belly was full, but he won.

Hayden commented, “Are you having an upset tummy?”
