Remy was still all smiles. “I’ve never experienced being given a stalk of grass. I shall wait for you to do
so.”
“That’s simple. I can get you a sack of grass the next time I go to the market.”
“Should I rear a cow too?”
Elisa smiled sweetly. “Don’t you dare feed the grass I gave you to a cow.”
“I wouldn’t.”
Elisa took two sets of new clothes from the shopping bags and gave them to Remy. “Do you like them?
I bought this brand because all your clothes come from them. There are shirts, suits, and many other
things.”
She even bought a dozen underwear for Remy but was too embarrassed to take them out. She stuffed
them into the bags. He would see them after getting home and taking the clothes out.
Remy put the bouquet down. He browsed Elisa’s shopping haul and beamed. “Of course I like thenovelbin
clothes you bought. Their sizes fit me perfectly too.”
“You silly. Of course I’ll buy clothes that fit you.
“There are two neckties too.”
Elisa retrieved them.
Lastly, she revealed the watch.
She opened the gift box and took the Rolex watch out. She gestured for Remy to extend his hand and
helped him to put it on.
He said, “The watch I’ve been wearing every day was from you too.”
Remy gave Elisa many presents, and Elisa did the same for him too.
She assured her boyfriend that she would never let him feel upset or mistreated. He would have
everything that others had, while others might not possess what he did.
“Alternate them. I think this watch looks better.”
Remy allowed Elisa to put the watch on him. He complimented, “You have good taste, Elisa. The things
you buy for me always look great and are useful. I like it a lot.”
“That’s for sure. I’ve always had good taste. The things or people I have my eyes on are always the
best of the best.”
Elisa was confident. Her family background allowed her to be a capable person and her confidence
exuded from her capability.
The man she had her eyes on previously was an outstanding individual, and that was Zachary.
Although he did not belong to Elisa, she could not deny Zachary’s abilities.
Subsequently, she fell in love with Remy. He was an excellent man too.
He was perfect actually.
“Why did you give me so many presents all of a sudden, Elisa?”
Remy stared at her with a burning gaze. He said, “I feel flustered. I’m afraid that after giving me so
many things, you’ll say, ‘You’re a good man, Remy, but I’m not good enough for you. Let’s break up.’”
Elisa laughed. “Have you been reading novels like Jasmine does? You must’ve read too much to have
such a wild imagination.”
“A person who reads many novels doesn’t necessarily have a rich imagination, but those who write
novels definitely do. My sister-in-law used to write novels as a part-time job. She continued writing even
after marrying my brother and even finished a book. However, she stopped writing when she found her
biological parents because there were too many things going on back then.”
Nevertheless, Jane was ready to write again anytime. She had been keeping a close eye on her
brothers-in-law. Remy suspected she was planning to write a romance series about the Johnson young
masters’ love stories.
Remy’s cousins were afraid of being Jane’s target. They felt Jane was like a professional matchmaker.
Love always found its way to one of them as soon as she found a target.
