“Even if I had to be the Buchams’ enemy, I would never let go.”
Elisa leaned against Remy’s chest. She apologized softly, “I’m sorry, Remy.”
He embraced her tightly. “Don’t say that. It isn’t your or your mom’s fault. I know she likes me. She just
hates that I live far away.”
“I’ll never let today’s incident happen again.”
Elisa raised her head and gave her promise.
“My mom has become more lenient.”
Remy pressed his forehead to Elisa’s. He said gently, “Let me tell you something, Elisa.”
“Go ahead.”
“I was talking to Ben before you came in. My parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law will be coming to
Wiltspoon soon. They’re going to attend Zachary and Serenity’s wedding. They’ll also be visiting your
family to propose marriage.”
Elisa stared at Remy.
Thinking she probably felt it was too early to get married, he quickly said, “Whether we get engaged or
married, my feelings for you will never change. I love you forever.”
“I’ll never doubt your feelings for me.”
Elisa had given Remy her complete trust from the day they started dating.
Even if she were to have a change of heart, Remy would never.

“I’m worried that my mom might not accept it. Although she’s more accepting now, today’s incident
