Chapter 2262
Liberty understood that Zachary needed time to think the matter through. Hence, she smiled and said,
“Alright. Talk to Seren when you get home. Go ahead with your work. I’m going to check on the
restaurant.”
“You’re leaving so soon?”
“I got to get going. You have a lot of work, and time is tight. I don’t want to take up too much of your
time.”
Since Serenity was pregnant, Zachary canceled their honeymoon trip. However, he did not withdraw
his marriage leave. Instead, he planned to spend some quality time with his beloved wife for the whole
month. They could take a drive around Wiltspoon or have walks.
Wiltspoon was a huge city. They had not explored every nook and cranny of the city yet.
Zachary had been busy, taking extra shifts and sorting out the important stuff so he could take his
marriage leave in peace.
“I’ll walk you out.”
Zachary did not insist that Liberty stay. He escorted her out of his office and walked her to the elevator.
Once Liberty was in the elevator, he made his way back.
Liberty took the elevator to the first floor and ran into Josh who had arrived at the office.
“Liberty.”
Josh gleefully approached Liberty. “When did you get here, Liberty? Are you leaving already? Why
don’t you stay for a while? Let me know if you need any help. I’m always happy to help.”
Liberty said with a smile, “I came to see Zachary about something, but it’s not a big deal. I’m fine.
Zachary’s busy, and I can’t stay because I need to check on the restaurant. Drop by anytime. I’ll make
you something to eat.”
“Alright. Your cooking has improved significantly too. Jasmine and I were at your restaurant yesterday,
and by the time we got home, we couldn’t stop thinking about how delicious the food was.”
The compliments made Liberty smile widely and brightened her entire face.
Josh had a way with words, always putting a smile on everybody’s face.
“Come by anytime to enjoy my cooking. I will make you something delicious.”
“For sure.”
“I got to go. Don’t let me keep you from your work.”novelbin
Josh turned around to see Liberty off. “I’ll walk with you.”
Liberty declined. “I’m good. I know you’re busy, so I’ll let you get back to it.”
Josh went with Liberty out of the office building anyway. He watched as Liberty took strides to her car
before proceeding back to the building.
Judging by Josh’s deference to Liberty, people would believe that she was a well-known older sister
figure in Wiltspoon.
After leaving York Corporation, Liberty drove to her breakfast diner.
Since the restaurant did not provide breakfast service, Liberty did not have to open for business early.
She could begin her journey to the restaurant at ten o’clock.
“You’re finally here, Boss. Mr. Lewis called and ordered breakfast, but he requested that you make the
delivery.”
The server at the diner told Liberty about Duncan's request as soon as she walked in.
There was more. “Mr. Lewis dropped by earlier to wait for you. He left after a long wait but later called
to make the request.”
Liberty replied, “Okay. I got it.”
Duncan was back in the office today.
Liberty put down her bag, washed her hands, and made Duncan breakfast as requested. She packed
the food and grabbed her bag before telling her staff, “I’m going to deliver breakfast to Mr. Lewis. Watch
the diner, okay?”
