Chapter 2261

It did not take long for Zachary to pour a glass of water for Liberty. He handed the glass to her. “Liberty,

Seren and I will be having the wedding ahead of schedule. Please accept the villa at The Oasis. It’s a

little something from me and Seren.”

The Oasis would be a second home to Serenity because that would be where Liberty lived.

Liberty took the glass and replied with a smile, “That's what I wanted to talk to you about today,

Zachary.”

Zachary was ecstatic. He returned to his desk and took out a bunch of keys from one of the drawers.

He then approached Liberty and put the keys in front of her. “Liberty, I have kept the keys to the house

here for you, available whenever you feel comfortable accepting the villa.”

Liberty took a sip and glanced at the keys, feeling touched by his thoughtful gesture.

Her sister and brother-in-law always had her best interest in mind.

Despite being an heir to a wealthy family, Zachary never treated Liberty with disdain. In fact, he treated

her with the utmost respect. Likewise, Liberty could say the same about Serenity too.

Serenity had always tried to contribute financially to Liberty from the time she was old enough to earn

money.

Liberty became a housewife once she was pregnant and had a baby. Her income stopped, and Hank

was stingy with money, so she depended on Serenity’s help.

Without her sister, Liberty had no idea how she would have overcome the years.novelbin

“I’m happy to accept the property, but I don’t want it for free. I would like to buy it from you, Zachary,

even if you have to sell it to me below market value. I can’t accept the house for nothing. It would make

me feel better if I moved into the place feeling like I had earned it.”

Zachary was speechless.

Here he thought his sister-in-law had come around.

Others in her situation would be overjoyed to accept a free villa but Liberty was a different story.

She previously insisted on not taking the house, preferring to rent a place with her son instead of

accepting the free home. Zachary had had a hard time dealing with the situation.

When Liberty came to meet with him about the villa, Zachary was under the impression that she was

willing to compromise, as his wedding to Serenity was around the corner. To his surprise, Liberty

wanted to purchase the property from him.

“You're putting me in a difficult position, Liberty. The villa is ideal in terms of location, environment,

lighting, and renovation. Why can’t you accept it? Is it not good enough for you? I’ve not stayed in the

villa since the renovation was completed. It’s clean and tidy.”

“Zachary, the place is more than ideal. I wouldn’t mind even if you stayed in the place before.”

Zachary owned many properties, and he had not stayed in many of them before.

“You and Seren know me well. I just want to live there with a clear conscience.”

Zachary sighed. “Seren might be mad at me and kick me out of the bedroom if I sell the place to you,

Liberty.”

Liberty answered with a grin, “Don’t worry about that. I won’t let Seren get angry at you. I’ll talk to her if

she does. I’ve got your back. I’ll move into the place in a few days if you’re on board with the idea. All

the wedding preparations for the bride can be done in the new house.”

Zachary knew Liberty well—strong-willed and no one could change Liberty’s mind, not even Serenity.

After a brief silence, Zachary said, “Liberty, can you give me some time to consider? I need to talk to

Seren about it.”

Zachary felt he needed to run anything involving Liberty by his wife so as not to upset Serenity.

Serenity was carrying his child after all, and the last thing he wanted to do was rub her the wrong way.
