Chapter 2233

Dr. Carden’s arrival brought Grandma May’s presence at the manor too. The other family members,

who were in Wiltspoon, made it back to the family residence as well.

Dinner was provided by Callum’s side of the family.

Since Callum invited Dr. Carden home, it was only right his family played the gracious host.

Serenity blinked her eyes at the sight of Dylan and Peter. She whispered to her husband, “Babe, Dylan

and Peter are in Wiltspoon. I thought they’d be chasing after their potential wives.”

Zachary murmured a reply, “They got the photos from Nana, but they’re taking their sweet time. Dylan

doesn’t seem to like the girl Nana picked out for him. I can’t tell what’s going on with Peter. He’s

unfazed.”

Meanwhile, Zachary’s younger brother, Austin, was only twenty-five years old but Grandma May had

selected a wife for him. Still, Grandma May believed she could delay Austin’s case for another two

years since in her eyes, a twenty-five-year-old man was not mature enough.

Now that Serenity was pregnant, Grandma May decided to put aside the plan for Austin.

River did not have to worry about being Grandma May’s next victim as well because he was young and

had just embarked into the real world.

He had older brothers and cousins who were still single anyway.

Noticing the glances, Dylan drew close.

“Zack, Seren.”

Zachary hummed a response.

Serenity smiled and tenderly asked, “You’re back.”

Dylan had just arrived. He answered, “I just got home. I came straight to Uncle Martin’s without

stopping at my place. Congratulations, Zack and Seren.”

He was referring to Serenity’s pregnancy. She and Zachary were finally becoming parents.

“I said my congratulations in the group chat, but I wanted to say it face-to-face too. I hope you’re having

a girl,” Dylan gleefully uttered.

“Ahem—”

Zachary cleared his throat and solemnly said when he got Dylan’s attention. “Don’t talk about the

baby’s gender. I don’t want to put pressure on Serenity to have a girl.”

Dylan immediately added, “I don’t mean any harm, Seren. I just want a niece so much that it came outnovelbin

wrong. Don’t put pressure on yourself.”

In fact, the family was ecstatic that Serenity was pregnant.

They would not demand Serenity to have a daughter.

Serenity responded with a grin, “I don’t take it to heart, Dylan. I know everybody hopes we finally get a

girl in the family. I hope to have a girl too.”

She then told Zachary off, “Babe, don’t scare Dylan.”

Zachary affectionately said, “Alright, I won’t scare him. Dylan, go and chat with your mom and dad. It’s

not every day you come home. Where’s Peter? I saw him come in with you.”

“Peter went to cozy up to Nana.”

Zachary burst out laughing and replied, “What’s the point of cozying up to Nana now?”

Dylan answered, “Even if there isn’t any point in doing that, Nana will kick us out of the house when the

time is up. We still have to be grateful to Nana anyway. She said that no woman would want us if she

didn’t intervene.”

Zachary had no words.

Serenity was in stitches.

Grandma May often described her grandsons as boneheads who did not know the way to any woman’s

heart. She had to do everything for them.

“How is your future wife doing?” Serenity teased Dylan amid laughter.

With a strange look on his face, Dylan said, “She’s quirky. I think she’s three to four years younger than

me. She graduated from college and just started working for two years.”

“By the look on your face, what did your future wife do?”

A blush crept onto Dylan’s face as he responded, “Seren, I haven’t made a move. All I got from Nana

was her basic information. I saw her picture, but I haven’t met her in person. How would I know what

she did.”

As if Serenity would believe him.
