Chapter 2232

Abel left the world in tears.novelbin

Evelyn had no idea that Cain and Paige had something to do with Abel’s death…

These people were cruel.

Evelyn believed Cain and Paige deserved to be locked up and faced heavy penalties. They deserved

no sympathy.

For the things they did to Abel and her niece, Evelyn believed they should get a death sentence.

Carrie would soon leave prison.

However, so what if she could escape jail time?

Without her parents to rely on, Carrie could be arrogant all she wanted, but she would not amount to

anything when Camryn regained her eyesight.

Evelyn’s mind wandered to her older sisters. They were vicious for attempting to impersonate Callum to

deceive Camryn. Callum’s revenge pushed them over the edge, and now they were facing bankruptcy.

Served them right!

Overwhelmed with emotions, Evelyn and Camryn embraced each other and wailed out loud. Nobody

stopped them to allow them to vent the pain and suffering within.

Lilian opened her medical kit which contained some of her home-grown herbs and self-manufactured

pills and medication.

She pulled out a bottle and told Callum, “Mr. Callum, this liquid is to apply to Ms. Newman’s eyes. I

didn’t bring much medicine with me as I traveled in haste. You can come with me when I return to

collect more medicine.”

“Sure.”

Lilian prescribed a list of drugs for Camryn. Callum could get some of the drugs from the local

pharmacy.

Lastly, she took out two bottles of pills and gave them to Callum while saying, “I developed this

medicine. Ms. Newman can take one pill from each bottle after every meal.”

Callum earnestly listened and nodded in between.

He asked, “Dr. Carden, can I get the same medicine to apply to the eyes at the pharmacy?”

“I’m afraid it’s not a common drug you can find in pharmacies. It contains herbs I grow myself, and they

aren’t the easiest plants to nurture. The best I can do is supply you enough for a week when you come

and get them from me in Annenburg, because that’s all I have there. I’ll need to gather the ingredients

from my medicine field to make the drug for the remaining three weeks. The herbs can’t be applied

directly without processing. Otherwise, the effects would be disastrous.”

Lilian did not grow her field where she and her mentor stayed. Although she had grown some plants in

her residence, the lot was small.

She grew her supply of herbs elsewhere too.

“Thank you, Dr. Carden.”

Lilian said with a smile, “I’m glad to help Ms. Newman see again so you and your wife can meet for

real. Our families are close anyway. Don’t mention it.”

She then turned to Serenity and uttered, “It’s my pleasure since Serenity, Jane, and I are friends.”

Serenity returned a smile.

The Yorks were happy as Lilian said Camryn’s eyes were treatable. Lilian prescribed Carmyn drugs

and guaranteed Camryn could see again after three months.

The family had accepted Camryn despite her visual impairment, but it would be great if she regained

her eyesight.

Lilian was not keen to return to Annenburg so soon after examining Camryn. She decided to stay in

Wiltspoon for a few days.

She was afraid of facing her crying baby when she got home.

Lilian was a first-time mother. Although she knew it was not easy being a mother, no one said it would

be the toughest job on earth now that she became one.

Anyway, she would never ever have another child.

Lilian had a disciple, Laurence who she chose and raised as her own. Now that she had Oliver, her life

was complete with a son and a disciple. She did not want to have another child.

Her fear was to have another crying baby like Oliver.

However, she did not mind having more docile kids like Chloe.
