Chapter 2226

“Have some water, Dr. Carden.”

Lilian accepted the drink. “Thank you, Rosella.”

“I should be the one thanking you. My son had you come over just a month after you gave birth. I’m so

embarrassed by that. I’ve already scolded Callum.”

Lilian gulped down half the glass of water. She was thirsty.

“It’s okay. I almost died of boredom while recuperating anyway. I’ve wanted to leave my home for some

time, but my husband doesn’t allow it. He insisted that I have ample home rest to recover. I’m a doctor.

I’m more knowledgeable than him on how to regain my good health after giving birth.

“Mr. Callum cares deeply for his fiancée. He persistently invited me over to treat her eyes despite

needing to bear my husband’s disdain. I was touched by his deep love and I’m more than happy to

make this trip for Ms. Newman.

“I hope I can treat her eyes and let her have a good look at her fiancé’s face.”

Camryn was engaged to Callum, yet she did not know what he looked like.

Lilian found it a pity.

Since their families were business partners, she was willing to treat Carmryn’s eyes for Callum.

“Thank you, Dr. Carden.”

Rosella could not be more thankful.

She hoped her future daughter-in-law’s eyes could be healed too.

Although she was fiercely protective of Camryn in public, she still felt bad for Callum as a parent.

Her eldest son was outstanding while Camryn was not bad either, but she was blind. It was

unfortunate, and she felt bad for him. Naturally, she was delighted when Camryn’s eyes could benovelbin

treated.

“Madam Rosella, Old Mrs. York and the missus are back.”

A maid entered and informed Rosella.

Not long after, Grandma May and Serenity came in.

“Old Mrs. York.”

Lilian put down her glass when she saw Grandma May entering. She got up and greeted the old lady

with a smile.

“Please have a seat, Dr. Carden.”

Grandma May went to Lilian and got her to sit.

After Serenity and Lilian greeted each other, Serenity went to sit beside Tania.

The room was filled with elders, but Camryn and Callum were nowhere to be seen. Serenity asked

Tania, “Where are Camryn and Callum, Mom?”

“Callum has gone to pick Camryn up. She had just left for her company and wasn’t in Wiltspoon when

Dr. Carden came. That’s why Callum rushed to her office to pick her up. He said they were on their way

back and would be arriving soon.”

Tania then asked out of concern, “Serenity, is your morning sickness still severe?”

“It’s bad in the mornings right after I wake up, but I’ll feel much better after eating something. I don’t

vomit much if I avoid sour or sweet food.”

Tania asked Lilian, “Dr. Carden, Seren’s morning sickness is pretty bad. Is there any way to relieve her

nausea?”

Lilian smiled and said, “I also had morning sickness occasionally when I was pregnant. It was terrible

for me too. My mentor had no idea how to ease my morning sickness either. So long as it’s not severe

to the extent there’s blood in the vomit, just bear with it and it’ll pass.”

Tania held Serenity’s hand. “It must be tough, Seren.”

“I’m fine, Mom. It’s not that bad if I can control my mouth. You guys are just too worried about me.”

Lilian laughed. “Being surrounded by love is a happy thing.”

Serenity smiled too. “You’re right. I’m surrounded by love every day.”

She was happy.
