Chapter 2227

“Your health and spirits are as good as ever, Grandma May,” Lilian complimented,

She had assessed the old lady’s health at FC Manor previously. Grandma May was as fit as a fiddle

and could definitely live for another tens of years.

Lilian’s mentor, the genius doctor, would live a long life too. He was especially healthy because he

maintained his health through natural remedies consisting of precious medicinal plants.

He also said he would try to live until he was 120 years old because he had more things to worry about.

He wanted to see Oliver have a family of his own.

Oliver was still a baby though.

Grandma May held Lilian’s hand with a smile. “Lilian, does your mentor have any pills that can promote

longevity? Can you give some to me? I want to be healthier and live longer. It’s best if I can live until

the age of 120. It isn’t rare for someone to live past 100 years old now anyway.

“I don’t know when I’ll be able to have a great-granddaughter. I need to hold her in my arms. Otherwise,

I won’t be satisfied even after leaving the world to look for my old man. I like soft and squishy baby

girls.

“I wouldn’t mind having a dozen great-granddaughters as adorable as Clo-clo.”

Lilian laughed and said, “My mentor’s at my place now. He’s helping me to look after the babies. When

I return, I’ll ask him about it and get some pills for you, Grandma May. You’ll be able to live until 120

years old like him.

“It’s true that you’ll have to wait for quite a long time to get a great-granddaughter. However, you have

nine grandsons, so you’ll have nine granddaughters-in-law. One of them is bound to give birth to a

great-granddaughter for you, right?”

Lilian could not be sure either.

She had heard of the York family’s story. The women who married into the family only gave birth to

sons.

Even if the women had conditioned their bodies according to various sources of information, they would

still end up with sons.novelbin

Of course, there had been huge advancements in medicine. IVF could be an option if one would like to

give birth to a daughter through assisted reproductive technology. However, Lilian would not

recommend that couples who could conceive naturally undergo that procedure.

It was best to let nature take its course.

What was most important was the baby’s health.

Lilian thought of her crybaby son. She said, “Clo-clo is such a good girl. Everyone adores her. I like her

a lot too. I wish I could get Jane to swap Baby Oliver for Chloe with me.”

She had talked about it once. Tim was so startled that he almost covered her mouth.

He told her not to mention this to Jane. If Ben found out, there would be no chance for them to even

carry Chloe anymore.

Although Lilian and Tim did not have a daughter, at least they had a niece to hold. If they could not

even do that, they would have no choice but to stare at their crybaby son every day.

Grandma May said, “You’re right. I’ll have nine granddaughters-in-law in the future. Surely there’s one

of them who can give birth to a great-granddaughter for me. I only had three daughters-in-law back

then. They did their best.”

Tania smiled and said, “We shall wait for the generation after Seren’s for a baby daughter if nobody in

Seren’s generation can do so, Mom.”

Grandma May said, “I would like to, but I can’t live that long.

“But I’ll do my best to live until that generation gets married and have children.”

Everyone told her that it was definitely possible for her.

Laughter rang in the air while Callum and Camryn managed to rush back.

Once they entered Wildridge Manor, Camryn held Callum’s hand nervously. She said out of fear, “What

if Dr. Carden says my eyes can’t be treated too, Callum?”

Dalton and his fiancée, Melissa, along with Evelyn and her husband, Irving, had returned with them.

Upon hearing Camryn’s words, Evelyn consoled her niece, “Dr. Carden’s the legendary doctor’s best

disciple. She’s extremely skilled. She must have some way.”

Irving said, “Your aunt’s right, Camryn. Don’t worry. Callum had gone to great lengths to invite Dr.

Carden over. No matter what, you have to let her check your eyes.”

Callum clasped his fiancée’s hand and said affectionately, “No matter the outcome, it won’t affect my

feelings for you. I’ve said that my family and I have never minded your condition. I’m doing my best to

get your eyes healed because I want you to admire the beauty of this world. I want you to see what I

look like too.”
