Chapter 2225

“Stop talking about this,” Hank scolded his sister.

Chelsea pouted.

Luke had to warn his daughter, “Don’t do anything stupid, Chelsea. I won’t let you off the hook if you

cause trouble there.”

Old habits died hard for his daughter. Her greed revealed itself again after her gratitude toward Liberty

for rescuing Lucas at the zoo had dissipated. He was worried she would wreck the restaurant opening.

Chelsea quickly said, “I dare not do anything, Dad. I don’t have a death wish. Look at Liberty’s status

now. My own store will be destroyed if I sabotage hers. I’m not that silly.

“I’m just envious. After all, we did contribute minorly to Liberty’s current success. If it weren’t for us, she

wouldn’t have been able to be motivated and establish a career like this.”

Chelsea’s shamelessness was truly off the charts.

After listening to her, even her parents and brother felt she was shameless for flattering herself.

“Hank, divorce that evil woman as soon as possible and get Liberty back…”

“Shut up!”

Luke scolded his daughter, “Stop meddling in your brother’s affairs whenever you’re back. Your mom

and I are still alive. It’s not your place to make decisions for the Brown family.”

“I didn’t say anything, Dad. It’s all for Hank’s sake. Liberty has gotten to Mr. Lewis. Sonny’s last name

will soon be changed to Lewis. I hope you don’t regret this when you lose your grandson.”

Chelsea kept repeating herself like a broken record. She simply wished for Hank and Liberty to marry

again so she could take advantage of her.

“Regardless of Sonny’s last name, I’ll always be his granddad, and your brother will forever remain his

dad. A family tie doesn’t break from something as trivial as changing last names.”novelbin

Hank said coldly, “I won’t divorce Jessica. Her parents came to me and begged me to write a letter of

pardon. I wrote it in hopes of helping her to get a lighter sentence. As long as it isn’t a death sentence,

I’ll wait for her no matter how many years it takes.

“Stop thinking about Liberty and I getting married again, Chelsea. That’s impossible. Even if Duncan

weren’t pursuing her, she’d never get married to me again. In the past… I’ve hurt her too deeply. I’m

thankful enough that she’s still willing to bring Sonny here to visit me.”

A person’s true character would show after a divorce.

Liberty indisputably had good character.

She had never badmouthed Hank in front of their son after their divorce.

Hank knew what he had abandoned, and he utterly regretted it.

He felt upset whenever he saw Duncan pursuing Liberty. He wished Sonny would stop them from

getting together. However, he was aware that he and Liberty could never marry each other again.

“Okay. I know. I won’t mention this anymore. However, the opening of Liberty’s new restaurant is

tomorrow. Mom, Dad, aren’t you two going to congratulate her?”

“We won’t be attending. Liberty won’t welcome our presence anyway. Sonny won’t be home as he’ll be

in school. It’ll also be awkward because we don’t know anyone there. Moreover, we have to look after

Hank.”

Olivia had gotten over many things.

Her son was alive and that alone was good enough. She stopped pondering other matters.

“Chelsea, get a florist to deliver a flower basket to the restaurant. Don’t stay there and be a nuisance.

Prepare a gift for Liberty and wish her a prosperous business,” Olivia instructed.

Chelsea pouted again and muttered something under her breath.

She had not visited the hospital for a few days, yet her parents and brother had already moved on.

Were they simply going to watch Liberty become rich and marry into a wealthy family?

It would be futile for Chelsea to say anything else as Hank would not listen to her advice. She did not

linger at the hospital and soon found an excuse to leave.

Back at Wildridge Manor in the evening, Rosella was pouring a glass of water for Lilian in Callum’s

family villa. Tania was with them too.
