Chapter 2105

Julian spotted the envelope.

Audrey noticed his gaze but did not hide anything. She said, “Mr. Julian, I have a matter that requires

your help.”

If the Buchams were willing to help, she felt there would be hope in searching for the real reason

behind her parents’ accidental death.

Julian smiled and said, “You don’t have to be so polite, Mrs. Stone. Feel free to let me know if you need

any help. I’ll definitely lend a hand if it’s within my capabilities. Actually, I feel bad for having disturbed

Ms. Elisa often recently.novelbin

“I’ll feel better if I can help you, Mrs. Stone.”

Besides, Elisa was best friends with his sister-in-law. He would help Mrs. Stone out for the sake of his

sister-in-law.

Hence, Audrey told Julian about her identity and her suspicions about her parents and their family’s

unnatural death.

After he listened to her, he immediately got up to leave.

Clive and Remy stood up and pulled him back simultaneously. They pushed him back to his seat.

Julian said, “Sorry to have disturbed you all. I should leave.”

Audrey was dumbfounded. She asked, “Are you not going to help us, Mr. Julian?”

“It’s not that, Mrs. Stone. You’re only searching for evidence after tens of years have passed. This is a

tricky matter. Even if we conduct an investigation, we might not find anything. The person who had

done the deed would never leave any traces behind. Even if there were clues, it would’ve been lost

over time.

“Anybody who knew something would already be dead too. I’m not refusing to help you. It’s just too

difficult. I’m afraid I may not be able to provide any helpful information and end up disappointing you

after giving my promise.”

Therefore, it was best he did not get involved.

Julian regretted looking at the envelope. Why did he look at an envelope? There was no gold in it

anyway.

Elisa asked him, “Even you can’t find anything? Aren’t the Buchams the best in this industry? Nobody

dares to say that they’re better than the Buchams.”

Julian smiled bitterly. “Our family indeed does these things, Ms. Elisa. We have a notable reputation

and are good at it. However, we’re still humans, no matter how great we are. We’re not supernatural

beings that know everything that happens under this sky.

“If I were one, I would time travel to the past to help you search for evidence. That wouldn’t be a

problem. Unfortunately, I’m not a supernatural being.”

Elisa did not say a word.

Humans had limited abilities, after all.

Looking at the Stones, Julian did some thinking. He told Mrs. Stone, “I can help if you don’t mind the

results. What do you think, Mrs. Stone?”

It meant that he agreed to help investigate the matter but would not guarantee he could find something.

He was asking Mrs. Stone not to have too much expectation of him.

After all, it had been four to five decades since the incident occurred. Julian was not even born at that

time.

Audrey said, “I know it’ll be hard to search for evidence. I wouldn’t dare demand you to find something

for me. It’s okay as long as you’re willing to help. It’s best to get some evidence, but we won’t blame

you even if you find nothing.

“If my sister and I are truly members of the Fisher family, even if there’s no evidence to prove that my

second aunt had killed my parents, I want to snatch the position of the matriarch back. My

descendants, or my sister’s descendants, can inherit the position.”

The head of the Fisher family had always been a woman.
