Chapter 2094

“It’s okay. My employees are experienced, and they have good character. I trust them. Besides, I’m still

managing the breakfast diner in the meantime. One day when I have my restaurants all over Wiltspoon,

I can hire you if I can’t handle everything myself.

“There’s really no need to hire more people now. It’s a small business, so I try to save on salaries

wherever possible.”

Chelsea pouted. She knew Liberty was not going to hire her. Liberty even made excuses, such as not

knowing how her business would turn out. However, with her identity as Mr. York’s sister-in-law, how

could her business be bad?

Chelsea knew how skilled Liberty was at cooking.

The business at her restaurant would surely be booming if she managed it well.

Chelsea heard that popular food businesses could earn a revenue of tens of thousands of dollars

monthly.

After subtracting the costs, the monthly profit would be a considerable amount.

Chelsea was attracted when she thought of how much Liberty would be earning each month.

She could have opened a restaurant with her money, but she was not good at cooking, and hiring anovelbin

chef required money. Besides, she did not have business tycoons helping her out. It was unknown

whether her business would be good or bad.

That was unless she opened a store with Liberty.

“Liberty, I still have some money of my own. Why don’t I invest in your new restaurant, and we run it

together?”

“The renovation of my new restaurant is already in its finishing stages. I still have enough funds, so I

don’t need any investments. If you really want to open a restaurant, you can buy a shop yourself.”

Liberty was outright rejecting Chelsea.

No matter how brazen Chelsea was, it would be inappropriate to continue the conversation.

“Come here, Sonny.”

Hank could not stand his sister either. However, he was bedridden and could not tell his sister off.

He waved to his son.

Mrs. Brown approached Hank with Sonny and put her grandson down.

“Dad,” Sonny called sweetly.

He was still young and could not sense the tension going on among the adults.

Hank caressed Sonny’s face affectionately. He said, “You’re in preschool now. You must listen to your

teachers and your mom at home, okay? Don’t get into fights with other kids. However, if they bully you,

don’t be scared and tell us about it after returning from school.”

Sonny nodded. He replied, “I do listen to my teachers and Mom, Dad. I won’t fight with the other

children too. They like me.

“Get better soon, Dad.”

Hank laughed. “I want to recover faster too. That way, I can take you out to play. Sonny, I’ll bring you to

the children’s theme park after I get discharged, okay?”

“Okay,” Sonny answered happily.

The father and son talked to each other for a while.

Liberty looked at the time. She told her ex-husband, “It’s getting late. I’ll take Sonny home first. I’ll bring

him to visit you again when I’m free another day.”
