Chapter 2095

After speaking, Liberty called her son, “We’re leaving, Sonny. Say goodbye to Dad.”

“It’s a weekend today, Liberty. Sonny doesn’t have to go to school. Can we let him stay in the hospital

for a day to accompany his dad and send him back to you tomorrow night?” Mr. Brown asked for

Liberty’s permission.

He wanted his grandson to stay behind.

Mr. Brown did not say much, but he also felt a sense of crisis after seeing Sonny and Duncan’s overly

intimate actions.

He was worried Duncan would become Sonny’s stepfather. If so, they would definitely have a close

relationship based on the affection they showed each other. His son, Sonny’s biological father, would

be completely forgotten when that happened.

It was fine if they could not get their ex-daughter-in-law back because they had hurt and bullied her in

the past. However, Sonny was the Brown family’s child and their only grandson. They could not let their

relationship with Sonny be estranged.

Liberty said, “I’ll have to ask for Sonny’s opinion on this, Luke. If he’s willing to stay, I won’t have a

problem with it.”

Therefore, Mr. Brown asked his grandson, “Sonny, stay here at the hospital to accompany your dad,

okay? Let your mom and Dunc leave.”

Sonny refused without hesitation. He answered honestly, “I want to go to Aunt Ser’s house to play,

Granddad. She called me this morning and told me to go over to her place to play after visiting Dad.

She also said Grandpa Liam and Grandma Tania miss me.”

Mr. Brown coaxed him, “You can go to your aunt’s house whenever you want, but your dad isn’t feeling

well now. He’s bored after lying in the hospital for so long and needs someone to be with him. You’re

his son, so stay back and accompany him, okay?”

“Aren’t you, Grandmom, and Aunt Chel accompanying my dad now?”

Sonny did not understand and returned a question.

There were already many people by his dad’s side.

He would have stayed to be with his dad if there was nobody. However, Dad already had many people

with him.

Mr. Brown was at a loss for words.

“Dad, I don’t need Sonny to be with me. Let him go with Liberty. I’m fine, Sonny. You can have fun at

your aunt’s house and tell me what’s fun there when you’re back.”

Sonny nodded. He said, “I’ll ask Mom to let me visit you again after I’m back and tell you about the fun

things in Aunt Ser’s house. Her house is very, very big with many fun places.”

Wildridge Manor had an extensive children’s playground.

Sonny would always have a great time at Wildridge Manor to the extent he did not want to go home.

Besides, Uncle Zak’s family was lovely. They adored him too.

“There’s lots of delicious food in Aunt Ser’s house too. I’ll bring some of them for you to try when I’mnovelbin

back.”

Sonny was not close to his dad as he was raised by his mom and aunt all along. When his parents

were still together, Dad went to work every day, and he could barely see him. How deep could their

relationship have been?

However, he was willing to share all the good stuff with his dad.

Hank smiled. “Okay. I’ll wait for the tasty food you’ll bring over.”

“Take care. We’ll be leaving first.”

Liberty spoke out of courtesy. Then, she held her son’s hand and exited the ward with Duncan.

The Brown family followed them out.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown did that because they could not bear seeing their grandson leave.

On the other hand, Chelsea was trying to get Liberty to treat her family to a meal. She called out to

Liberty and said, “Let’s have a meal together, Liberty.”

“Maybe another day, Chelsea. I’m going to drive Sonny to Wildridge Manor now.”

Honestly, Liberty did not want to have a meal with Chelsea.

“I see. Another time then. Since you’re sending Sonny to Wildridge Manor, can you take Lucas with

you? Lucas and Sonny can be playmates.”

“Chelsea!”
