Chapter 1952

Hayden then turned on her heel to leave.

“You will be mine sooner or later. I’m just enjoying the privilege in advance.”

Demonstrating utter audacity, Kevin tagged along with Hayden. He would gleefully say hello upon

meeting any acquaintances.

Since Kevin followed Hayden around like a puppy, these other well-acquainted CEOs could only nod

instead of sharing a full-blown conversation with Kevin. Kevin clung to Hayden so tightly that the latter

could not shake him off.

Hayden’s security detail could not stop Kevin either. They had to engage with Kevin to restrain him,

only to realize that they were no match for Kevin.

It was said that the boys of the York family were raised to excel academically and athletically. The

public took it that the York boys would merely have a few years of self-defense under their belt, but

Hayden’s security team did not expect Kevin to be a highly skilled professional in the sport.

“Mr. Kevin.”

Hayden got a headache from trying to get Kevin out of her hair. She stopped and questioned him,

“What do you want? Don’t you know you’re coming in the way of my business engagement? I can’t

even have a chat with my business partners.”

Kevin frolickingly uttered, “Just go on with your business and have your business talk. I won’t interrupt

you, so don’t worry about me taking your business. I only deal with F&B. I probably weeded out all the

competition long ago.”

Holding back the rage, Hayden callously snapped, “Thanks to your behavior during the day, we have

now become the center of attention. Even if I want to keep it strictly business, everybody can’t stop

staring at you.”

Kevin would get her good food. He would first taste it before telling her that the food was clear of

poison. She could eat with ease.

Every now and then, Kevin would ask if Hayden was thirsty or hungry.

Kevin’s attention and care for Hayden led others to believe that they were lovers. It was hard for

Hayden to convince these people otherwise.

“You can save the business talk for another day. Tonight, we feast. You brought two bottles of wine, and

we should open the second bottle since the first bottle is empty. We can enjoy good wine in a corner.”

Jensburg Hotel featured local delicacies in its food and beverage department, beating York

Corporation’s Fairview Hotel in terms of cuisine.

Kevin tasted the food while clinging to Hayden, seeking out areas for improvements to his family-

owned hotel.

With a sour face, Hayden looked around. They were already in a corner.

“Come with me, Mr. Kevin.”

Hayden immediately turned around to leave.

Kevin took off with her right away and ran into Hugh who had his hands full with women. Kevin patted

his future brother-in-law’s shoulder and whispered, “Show some restraint. Don’t take more than you

can chew and risk your health.”

Hugh had no words.

What did he do to require restraint?

Although Hugh had a lot of female companions, he had never touched them. He was a man of

responsibility and knew that intimacy should be saved for marriage. Hence, Hugh would never mess

around until he had found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Several minutes later, Hayden brought Kevin to the presidential suite on the top floor. Her team ofnovelbin

security kept watch outside the suite.

Kevin entered the suite and said, “Aren’t you… coming too strong, Hayden?”

Hayden cocked her head to give him the evil eye.

Kevin rubbed his nose and apologized, “Fine. That was unwarranted. Sorry for the inappropriate

comment.”

Hayden went to sit on the sofa, leaning back against the seat. She looked askance at Kevin before

coldly uttering, “It’s just the two of us here. The suite is soundproof, so there’s no worry about our

conversation getting out.

“Why are you getting all over my face, Mr. Kevin? Are you trying to use me to get your family off your

back about marriage? You can always say no if you don’t like the wife your grandmother chose for you.

There’s no need to drag me into your family affair.”

Kevin took a seat across from her. Once Hayden said her piece, he rose to his feet and propped his

hands on the coffee table as he leaned forward to get to her face.

His dark eyes locked on her charming face. Quitting the frolicking, he earnestly replied, “I’m serious

about chasing after you.”

“Kevin, I am a man!”

Kevin suddenly burst out laughing, and his gaze lingered around her figure. He muttered, “Are you sure

you’re a man, Mr. Hayden?”
