Chapter 1951

“Madam Fisher.”

Hayden spoke in a raspy voice, “As I see things, Ms. Caroline Fisher is a delicate piece of art that

needs to be handled with care. The last thing I want is for my security detail to knock over Ms.

Caroline.”

Since Caroline had caught Hayden’s eye, Hayden kept planting the idea in her brother’s head to go

after Caroline. Hayden took a liking to the person Caroline was.

Many took things at face value, having the opinion that Caroline was not up for the daunting task of

taking over as head of the household. The Fishers owned many businesses that were managed and

run by the head of the household.

Caroline gave the impression of someone weak, small, and green.

Hayden saw through Caroline for who she really was though.

Nevertheless, Hugh said that the Fisher family had hidden depths, and going forward with dating

Caroline would embroil them in the Fishers’ internal strife.

Now that Hayden had witnessed Madam Fisher’s attitude toward Caroline, she had to admit that Hugh

had a better understanding of the situation.

“Mr. Queen, my sister is doing fine. It’s not like she cried out in pain or something,” Celine interrupted,

making her presence known.

She could not stand Hayden taking Caroline’s side.

Celine refused to listen to a word that went in Caroline’s favor.

She believed Hayden was sticking up for Caroline. In fact, Hayden had never shown such deferential

treatment to any woman in the whole of Jensburg.

Hayden’s affection toward Caroline did not go unnoticed.

Seeing red, Celine rationalized that Caroline got lucky with Hayden, so she snitched to her mother

about Caroline’s shameless and cliché approach to get Mr. Queen’s attention.

“Mr. Queen, I apologize for earlier. Everything’s fine now. I need to go to the restroom.”

Not wanting to be part of the circus, Caroline made up an excuse and took off.

“Mr. Hayden.”

Kevin approached not too long after Caroline excused herself.

Following Kevin around was his fanboy, Hugh.

Hugh was blown away by Kevin winning a verbal fight with a dozen rivals.

He had now emerged as Kevin’s number-one fan.

The crowd was reminded of what had happened during the day following Kevin’s presence.

Kevin, a member of the York family in Wiltspoon, had openly expressed his pursuit of Mr. Queen.

He even set a floral display of roses right outside the building entrance of Queen Enterprise, spelling

out his intention of winning Mr. Queen’s heart.

It was rather surprising.

To think Kevin York had a thing for men.

It was a pity though.

Kevin was an amazing man, and most importantly, the Yorks were a close-knit family with a good

reputation to match. It was the dream of many women to marry into the York family.

The chances of marrying into the York family would only lessen now that Kevin batted for the other

team. The competition would only become more intense now.

Kevin was free to have feelings for whoever he liked, but why must he go after Mr. Queen? It was

something Mr. Queen’s admirers could not stand for as they believed Kevin was taking away the man

of their dreams.

“Mr. Queen, you’re walking too fast. Wait up.”

Kevin entered the room and made a beeline for Hayden. He took a look around the room and asked,

“Why is everybody surrounding my Hayden?”novelbin

The crowd was tempted to have a go at Kevin for his brazenness in calling Mr. Hayden his.

Despite her mild nature, Hayden pulled a long face and sternly uttered, “Mr. Kevin, I don’t belong to

you. Please stay away from me.”
