Chapter 1602

Meanwhile, Nathan and Kylie stood by the roadside, holding the food that Penny had packed forthem. However, Colin didn't show up even after a long time.

Nathan had a sudden hunch that something was wrong.

Colin was usually a careful and conscientious subordinate who could be counted on to perform histasks to perfection. He had never given Nathan any reason to worry.

Even if an urgent matter had come up and Colin was unable to drive Nathan around, he would havetold Nathan straightaway instead of letting him wait here for such a long time.

Nathan took out his phone and dialed Colin's number. However, nobody picked up his call.

Something was seriously wrong.

Nathan turned to Kylie and said, “Colin could have met with an accident. I'll go down to the car parkand take a look.”

Immediately, Kylie said, “Nathan, I'll go with

I ” you!

They proceeded down to the carpark.

Quirrell had already delivered the ninth of his ten blows to Colin, who was now lying on the floor, completely covered in blood.

Quirrell's brows were beaded with sweat. As he watched Colin lie motionlessly on the ground, hefinally let out a sigh of relief. “Oh, he's finally down. I didn't think it would take that long to take thisbeastly creature down.”

As soon as he spoke, Colin twitched on the ground, still covered in blood.

As Quirrell watched in shock, Colin got up from the ground with much difficulty. Then, he shook theblood out of his ears and stood up on his feet, wobbling slightly.

He turned and faced Quirrell with his head down, the blood trickling down his head to land on theground.

Quirrell was stunned beyond belief.

His subordinates were aghast, too.

How could Colin still be alive after all that? Even more startling was the fact that he could still standon his feet with the number of injuries on his body.

They had underestimated how tough this guy could be.

With his head bowed, Colin breathed in and out deeply. He could feel blood trickle down the sides ofhis face. Eventually, he looked up, his eyes still burning with conviction and courage. “Again! Thelast one!”

As soon as he said that, Colin, who had taken the defensive stance for the past few rounds, suddenly lunged towards Quirrell. Like an injured beast, he roared loudly as he neared the latter.

Quirrell had announced that he could kill Colin within ten strikes. If he failed to do that, it meant thatQuirrell had lost the bet.

To be fair, Quirrell hadn't expected Colin to still be able to get up after so many blows from him. Helooked at the blood-covered figured staggering towards him.

It was already the tenth strike!

If he didn't kill Colin in this round, Quirrell would have lost fair and square.

Quirrell was known as Dragon in the South, and he considered himself to be above the General ofthe North himself. Every day, he griped to his subordinates that he would have become the God ofWar instead of Nathan if he hadn't been suppressed and removed from power.

If he lost to Colin, a mere policeman, in front of all his subordinates, he would lose his dignity.

“Since you want to die so badly, I'll help you fulfill your wish! Watch out!"

Quirrell lunged towards him ferociously.

As he dashed towards Colin, Quirrell stamped on the floor and launched himself into the air.Beneath him, the floor splintered into a million pieces with the force. At the speed of lightning,

he brought his foot down on Colin's chest.

Bang!

This time, Colin flew all the way out before crashing into a thick slab of concrete and slumpingagainst it.

Immediately, the concrete slab caved in with the force, and Colin fell onto the ground pathetically.

Sniffing coldly, Quirrell asked, “Well, he should be dead now, shouldn't he?”

Just as he said that, however, Colin twitched again on the ground.

As everyone looked on in disbelief, he shuddered horribly and stood up again unsteadily.

Colin looked as though he was about to collapse onto the floor any minute, but his eyes were full ofconviction. As he opened his mouth to speak, everyone could see that the cavity was full of blood.

“Hey, I've taken all ten of your blows and I'm still alive. You've lost the bet.”

Quirrell was so furious that his face was green.

As his humiliation gave way to rage, he pounced on Colin with a murderous look on his face.novelbin

Lunging forward to grab his neck, Quirrell hissed, “I'll separate your body from your head then.

Let's see if you'll be alive after that!”

His fingers were just centimeters away from Colin's neck now!

At that moment, there was a loud hiss as a long, dull bolt of something shot towards Quirrell's arm.

Shocked, Quirrell pulled his hands back hastily.

Smack!

The object lodged itself in the cement slab. It was a pair of reusable chopsticks.

Who would be so powerful that a pair of chopsticks they launched could lodge itself in a cementslab?

“Who's the ninny that decided to sneak an attack on me?” Quirrell roared.

His subordinates all turned their heads and looked in the direction where the chopsticks had comefrom.

Nathan and Kylie strode into the room.

In a cold voice, Nathan said, “If I wanted to defeat a weakling like you, do you think I would need tosneak an attack?”
