Chapter 1600

Displeasure flitted across Colin's face as he frowned. “Miss, please calm down. I helped you defeatthe pervert. Instead, you're saying that I'm the murderer and the rapist. Are you alright?”

The beautiful woman then knelt beside the injured man and let out a pitiful wail. “Maddox? OhMaddox, are you alright? You have to get back up, please!”

Colin frowned and froze. He realized that something was wrong.

Just then, a stalwart, middle-aged man appeared out of nowhere. He was accompanied by anentourage of at least fifty men.

It was none other than Quirrell Simmons, the Dragon of the South.

Quirrell gestured at the group and hurried closer towards the woman who was supposedly howlingin grief.

“Who did this? Who did this to you and Maddox?”

When the woman saw her concerned cousin rushing towards her, she immediately launched into abarrage of complaints. “Quirrell! Thank god you're here! Maddox and I were making out, mindingour business.”

“Then, this a**hole came over out of nowhere and wanted to rape me. Look at what he's done topoor Maddox!”

“There, there, it's alright now. I'll teach this a**hole a lesson.”novelbin

Quirrell's gaze landed on Colin. “Well, look what we have here.” He sneered and glared at Colinagain. “You seem like a decent, well-built fellow but ah, how looks can be deceiving. It turns outyou're just a scumbag who preys on the weak.”

Colin looked at Quirrell and the others suspiciously and asked, “Wait, who the heck are you? Whyare you setting me up?”

Quirrell smirked. “You wounded my friend and attempted to assault my cousin. We have proof.

Are you going to deny this?”

“Now, I want you to break both your hands and kneel. Maybe, I'll consider sparing your pathetic life.”

“I said I'll consider it, keep that in mind.”

The gang of men that gathered behind Quirrell sneered collectively. Their faces spelled nothing buttrouble and ill-intentions.

Colin was now absolutely certain that these people had come for him.

If he warranted a wild guess, he would've assumed that it had to do with Mr. Davier.

Phoebe, Mr. Davier's daughter, was killed at the behest of Nathan Cross.

He deduced that these men were hired to avenge his daughter.

Colin looked at the men who surrounded him and said, “Let me guess, Mr. Davier sent you. Listen,I'm the General's Captain of the National Guard. I'd drop it if I were you.”

“Otherwise, you'll end up startling General Cross. When that happens, there will be hell to pay.”

Quirrell laughed with contempt. “Don't even think about using Nathan to scare me. I was

already in the army before he knew how to walk.”

“You have injured my friend and tried to assault my cousin. Even the God of War can't save youtonight.”

“Men! Get him!”

As soon as Quirrell issued the order, several of his men pounced on Colin like a pack of feralwolves.

With a cold snort, Colin moved like a ferocious tiger and met several of his opponents head-on.

A few of them were quickly beaten up by Colin.

Quirrell's men were shocked by his bravery and strength.

No sooner than the first wave had fallen, more people hurtled themselves towards Colin withoutawaiting instructions from Quirrell.

Colin moved at a lightning-fast speed. His power surged, and his movements were made withextremely calculated precision. All of his attacks were culminated by years of practice and militarytraining.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Even these opponents were no match for Colin.

However, Quirrell's men were not ready to back down just yet.

“You're all rubbish!” said Quirrell with a snort. “There's a whole bunch of you, and you can't evenhandle one man? How embarrassing.”

“Retreat! Let me show you how I'll kill him in ten moves.

Immediately, his subordinates slinked away quietly.

Everyone was full of excitement. They looked at Quirrell with their eyes ablaze. They were about towitness The Dragon in action. They also thought that this silly oaf named Colin was definitely goingto die. Nobody had ever fought Quirrell and lived to tell the tale.
