The custodian turned to Xandra and said, “From now onward, you’ll have to stay here to cleansethe Demonic Energy within you.”
“I understand.” Xandra nodded.
The Demonic Energy within her had tormented her for thousands of years. She was glad to finallyget rid of it once and for all.
“Ms. Custodian…”
James spoke hesitantly.
The custodian looked at him and asked, “Yes? What else is the matter?”
James mustered up the courage and said, “A Celestial Abode had appeared in Mount Bane…”novelbin
He explained the events that took place at the Celestial Abode in detail.
“I’m aiming to get through the ninth barrier, but I’m not strong enough. I’d like to train here for awhile under your guidance. The ninth barrier’s defender said I needed to compress my True Energyand reach my rank’s true zenith.”
The custodian knew of everything that happened on the earth.
However, her main duty was to protect the Chamber of Scriptures. She did not want to interfere withother matters relating to the earth.
Since James asked for her guidance, she did not refuse him.
“I know a good place to train. I’ll bring you there and guide you for a while.”
Hearing this, James was thrilled.
“Thank you, Ms. Custodian.”
After speaking, he looked at Thea, sitting in front of the formation on the altar. Thea’s energy wasincredibly powerful. She sat in a lotus position and seemed to have completely removed herselffrom the outside world. Although he had been in her vicinity for a while, Thea did not once get up.

James followed the custodian into the deepest level of the underground cave.
The paths were winding, and there were some luminous white pearls on the surrounding rocks. Thepearls illuminated the dark cave, making it seem almost like daytime.
Soon, they arrived at the deepest level.
The Demonic Energy that veiled the area was dreadful.
Black Demonic Energy oozed out from the cracks in the grounds and surrounding walls.
Its effects were so strong they caused James’ heart to race. It felt like something was peering at himfrom the dark, making him shiver from the eerieness.
James could not help asking, “Where are we, Ms. Custodian?”
The custodian replied, “Another world lies beyond that seal ahead. It’s a world that was a battlefieldfor countless strong powerhouses in ancient times. Your current rank is unstable, and most of yourachievements were attained through the use of elixirs or Empyrean objects. Thus, you need toconstantly refine and concentrate your True Energy to make it pure.”
