Chapter 1879

Hannah was overthinking. “Is it because of all the problems on your end? So now Cindy thinks it’s toomuch trouble? Or does her family think that it’s not a good influence on her?”

Ian hastily said, “No, it has nothing to do with this. It’s just that the filming takes a lot of time, and shedoesn’t have much to do at home, so she wants to learn a thing or two.”

“Oh!” Hannah hesitated for a while before saying, “I think it can be arranged, but we have to make itclear that your relationship is still a thing. We can’t tell everyone that you broke up, so even if sheintends to work elsewhere, she still has to comply with some promotions and activities.”

There were still demands Hannah would make of Cindy, but perhaps that was a good thing. “Also, wewill retain her position as your assistant in the company. Even if she can’t make it, we’ll still pay her. It’sa benefit of her remaining in a supposed relationship with you.”

Ian felt like laughing. Hannah was really overthinking, but then again, all managers had to beconsiderate of even the smallest details. So, he just gave a hum. “I’ve talked about it with Cindy aswell. She said she could still cooperate with things on my side, so we don’t have to worry. She still feelsthe same as before about everything online.”

Hannah might still be a little worried as she hesitated for a bit. “All right, I’ll find some time to talk toCindy about it.”

With that, Hannah hung up. Ian turned around and walked into their unit. Cindy was already at home, resting on the couch.

Hearing Ian walk in, Cindy turned to look at him, then asked, “Did Hannah see the news online? Is shesuspicious of us?”

Cindy still didn’t dare admit to Hannah that she was no longer pretending to be in love with Ian.Honestly, she felt a little guilty, as if she had betrayed Hannah’s trust.

Hearing Cindy’s question, Ian somehow felt the urge to smile. He didn’t answer the question directly.Instead, he went over and sat down next to Cindy. “Why are you so scared? What can they do if theyfind out?”

Cindy had a different opinion. “I don’t want Hannah to know yet. I can’t explain it properly to you, but Ijust feel uneasy about it.” novelbin

Ian reached out and held her close. “Hannah didn’t suspect anything. She just thought we’re forced toput on an act. Also, I told her about you looking for a job, and she’ll have a proper talk with you whenshe has the time to.”

Cindy was stunned, then hastily asked, “How did you break the news to her? How did she react?”

Ian didn’t want Cindy to get too worried, so he relayed to her the entire conversation between him andHannah. After Cindy finished listening, she sank into deep thought, then nodded. “Okay, I got it. I’llhave a proper talk with her when the time comes.”

Since Hannah had reacted mildly, they could sort things out easily. After resting for a while, Cindy tookout her phone and looked at the online articles about her and Ian.

The first photos she looked at were those posted by the fan. She knew about those photos, and they

didn’t look too bad. Even though the photos were inanimate, her interactions with Ian still shonethrough, and they seemed to be very much in love.

The fan showered praise on Cindy, saying how gentle and sincere she was and how patient shebehaved when the photos were being taken. Then, the fan also mentioned that Ian looked even morehandsome in person than on camera, ending the post with a wish that the couple would be togetherforever.

The fan obviously had a good temper and personality, and her character was also commendable.Cindy was glad and relieved to see this. She wasn’t one to mind online comments too much, but shehad also read hurtful comments directed to her before.

Many people were saying that she didn’t deserve Ian and needed to know her place. There was oncewhen Cindy went out with Naomi, and one of Ian’s fans blocked their way just to give Cindy a piece oftheir mind.

No matter how Cindy averted her attention from these things, the hurtful comments and accusationsstill made her uncomfortable.
