The next step was still quite a distance away. Ian was advancing in his career, so he mustn't stir up anybig news. Their relationship wasn’t like any other, and the company probably didn’t know what wasgoing on with them. Hence, they didn’t have the capacity to think of marriage just yet.
The company had allowed them to date, but Ian would never be allowed to marry. Dating and marriagewere different things, after all.
Naomi should understand that too, so she let out a sigh after thinking for a while. “Even though it’senvious to date a superstar, you get a lot of troubles like that too.”

After some small talk, Naomi proceeded to hang up. Cindy walked with Ian into the community, and thetwo had just arrived on the first floor of their unit when Ian’s phone rang.
This time, it was a phone call from Hannah. Cindy and Ian were already expecting Hannah to call andask what was going on.
After all, to the company, they were fake lovers, so they only had to pretend in front of the camera. Nowthat they were being intimate in private, Hannah might think something was up.
Cindy glanced at Ian. She pursed her lips and shook her head helplessly, then went into the building.
Ian remained outside as he picked up Hannah’s call. Hannah wasn’t angry, but she also wasn’t quitesure what Ian was thinking about, so she asked right off the bat, “What’s going on between you andCindy? How did they manage to take photos of you? And you went to the amusement park?”
Ian hummed and tried to speak in half-truths. “It was boring at home, so we went outside for a while.The amusement park is newly built, isn’t it? We just wanted to have a look. I never thought peoplewould recognize us.”
He never mentioned his relationship with Cindy throughout the whole process, so when Hannahlistened, she concluded that the two were forced to put on an act because the fans spotted them.
Hannah immediately said, “It’s good that nothing big happened. Be more careful when you go out nexttime. The fans are nice enough to greet you this time, but if some fans decided to secretly takepictures, and if they took unpleasant pictures, that would put you at a disadvantage. If there’s chaos onthe net, you’ll be in trouble again.”
Ian never really had things easy before, since eyes had been on him ever since his debut. Every stephe took must be considered carefully.
Ian said he got it, then Hannah continued, “You have shows to film soon, so Cindy will be given abreak. Tell her to be more careful of her actions too. Even though she doesn’t have much of aninfluence on her own, some media might try to tackle her side of things.”
Ian voiced his agreement, then said, “I’m sure she knows these things too. She knows what she’sdoing.”
He was hesitating now as he considered telling Hannah about Cindy’s search for a job. However, Cindywas still Ian’s assistant in Hannah’s eyes, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for Cindy to find another job justlike that.
Hannah knew nuances when she saw one, so she could immediately hear the hesitation in Ian’s voice.She hastily said, “If you run into any problems over there, just tell me. You don’t have to be shy aroundme.”
Since she put it like that, Ian decided to spill the beans. “It’s not much of a problem, but just something Iwant to inform you about. Cindy knew that I was going into filming soon, so she wanted to findsomething to do. She took a major in fashion design, so she was wondering if she could return to thatin the meantime.”
Hannah was taken aback by the news. “Since Cindy has such intentions, does it mean that shedecided to quit her job as your assistant?”
