Chapter 1805

In fact, Sally had even spent some time behind bars for intentional harm. At that time, it was really ahuge scandal for the Morgan Family. Bryce really couldn't clear his name due to his own problems, butit was mostly thanks to these two pathetic children that the Morgan Family was now so notorious.

Sean had tried to let go of all these and didn't want to worry about it anymore. After all, the relationshipbetween family members was complicated and some things could not be said aloud. However, whenhe saw Leah trying to gain sympathy with a tearful expression, he couldn’t bear it even if Ian, who didn’tunderstand anything, could.

Ian gently patted Cindy on the back and waited for her to fall asleep before sighing. The pandemoniumat the Morgan Residence that night had made him feel a little troubled even if all those things hadnothing to do with him.

Leah was there crying and slapping herself, so Ian had called the housekeeper in. He didn't want tolisten to Leah talking nonsense anymore, so he asked the housekeeper to have the servants packLeah's things. Bryce's funeral was over anyway and the Morgan Residence was about to be liqiduated. Therefore, Sean wanted to make preparations in advance.

Naturally, an unwilling Leah continued to make a fuss, screaming about how she was a bullied widow. The scene was quite horrendous, that was for sure. Although Ian was watching the drama by the side,he couldn't really stand it.

Cindy had fallen asleep and didn't know anything, but she suddenly woke up in the middle of the nightand realized that Ian was not in bed. Ian had come back relatively late; considering the current timeand the fact that he was not in bed, it proved that he never slept at all and had gone out again.

Hence, Cindy got off the bed with her bare feet and gently opened the door. There was a light in theliving room and Ian was sitting on the sofa. The TV was on, but there was no sound coming from it. Helooked like he was watching TV, but no one knew whether he was actually watching it or not. Sheactually had a lot of things to say to him, and she wanted to comfort him, but she then thought of howshe had reacted when Anthony left.

She knew that no words could help at this time.

The situation Ian faced was a little more complicated than hers as the Morgan Family would face a lotof trouble in the future. Although Sean was in charge, there was no way for Ian to sever all ties with himafter all. Thus, after thinking about it, Cindy went back to bed and wrapped herself with the quilt beforeshe closed her eyes. novelbin

Ian sat outside for over an hour before coming in. Cindy actually knew that because she had beenpretending to be asleep. Soon, he returned to the bed and waited for a while before he turned over tohug her. Now that he had returned to her side, she felt drowsy again and snuggled into his arms beforeshe finally fell asleep after a while.

The next day, Cindy woke up early in the morning and she found Ian still asleep on the bed. Since hehad slept so late last night, he definitely would not be able to get up early today. So, she walked out ofthe room with light steps and made breakfast first. Before breakfast was even ready, she suddenlyheard the sound of the door opening outside. At that, she froze for a moment and looked towardAurora's room. Aurora's door was closed, so she couldn't tell whether anyone was inside. However, since it was so early, Aurora was probably in her room.

Thinking of this, Cindy emerged from the kitchen and saw that Aurora was opening the door andcoming in from outside. The older woman was wearing sportswear and it seemed that she had been

exercising as her hair was slightly messy while her breathing was a little heavy.

Cindy was a little surprised and asked, “Did you go out for a morning run?”

Aurora grunted a little before walking toward her room. She had avoided Cindy as much as possible, but when Cindy passed by her, the younger woman still saw the wound behind Aurora’s ear at aglance. The wound was quite obvious and it was still bleeding.

Seeing that, Cindy cried out, “How did you get injured?”

Aurora didn't seem to know that she was injured at all. Her first reaction was to exclaim and rushtoward her room. Cindy quickly chased after her, grabbed her arm and pulled her over before carefullychecking behind her ear.
