Chapter 1804

In fact, sometimes when one were to think about it, it was a vulnerable thing to fall in love. Cindybelieved that this girl should be a likable person in real life, but she became rather twisted after fallingin love. As Cindy had never fallen in love before, she didn't understand this kind of thinking, but nowthat she had someone in her heart, she understood the girl’s panic and helplessness. Therefore, shewas both disgusted and sympathetic toward that girl.

Cindy and Aurora wandered outside until it was dark before returning home. Ian hadn’t returned homeyet; nobody knew how long he needed to stay at the Morgan’s Residence. Thus, Aurora went toshower and headed to her room to sleep without asking about Ian.

As for Cindy, she sat on the sofa, turned on the TV, and played games. After two rounds, she quit thegame and looked at her phone, but realized that he didn't text her or call her. She didn't understandhow he could be so busy that he didn't even have time to make calls or texts. She played two moregames and naturally lost all four games in total. After losing too many times, she lost the mood to playand thus leaned on the sofa before letting out a long sigh. She suddenly no longer liked this kind ofleisurely life. In fact, she preferred the days when she and Ian worked and went out to shoots every daybecause those days were more fulfilling.

When it was almost time for bed, Cindy went to shower, and then went back to her room to sleep. Shehad slept until midnight when she felt someone getting into bed beside her. She didn't open her eyesbut simply turned over and tumbled into Ian's arms. “Why are you back so late?”

Ian had also just finished taking a shower, so he hugged Cindy and answered, “There were a lot ofthings to do over there and many things had to be removed, so I was very busy.”

Actually, he wasn’t telling the truth. The reason for the delay was not because he had to sort out thefollow-up of Bryce's funeral. It was because of Leah who had approached and spoke publicly again. However, she didn't make a fuss this time, but she had just asked about the distribution of the MorganFamily's assets. After all, the assets belonged to Bryce, so usually one would first check againstBryce’s will when dividing the assets. novelbin

Leah understood this, but she also knew that she would not get much, so the only reason why shespoke up that night was to hint that no matter what the will indicated, she wanted Sean to compensateher. She said that after all, she had taken care of Bryce for so many years, so she should becompensated for such hard work.

To be fair, she only needed to discuss all this with Sean. After all, most of the assets in the MorganFamily were in Sean's hands. Therefore, Ian didn't need to stay there and continue listening to themtalk about all this. However, she probably wanted someone to listen to her, so she called Ian out andasked him to stay. She didn't ask him to help to speak up for her, but only said that he should be awareabout these things in the family since he was also a member of the Morgan Family after all.

It had already come to this and Ian didn't want to have any disputes with them, so he stayed back.Leah was no longer arrogant at this moment as she probably knew that putting on airs now would notbring her any benefit. Thus, she changed her act this time and tried to gain sympathy by complainingabout how sad her life was. She told everyone how hard it was to wait on Bryce for many years andhow difficult it was for her to raise two children by herself.

Ian might not know how true her words were, but Sean had been living with them, so he was very muchaware of the truth. Hence, he laughed out loud on the spot. During all the many years that Leah hadbeen in the Morgan Residence, she had never waited on Bryce because there were servants at home,

so she didn't need to do anything. Besides, considering how the children she raised had turned out, herparenting was very ineffective.
