Chapter 1610

Logan wrapped his arm around Ian’s shoulder. “There’s no need to thank us. We’re all friends; it’s ourjob to take care of one another.”

There were fruits and drinks prepared in the room, and Logan got Ian and Aurora to sit down and getsome rest. There was food being prepared in another room, and they would get to have a meal in awhile. However, Aurora and Ian didn’t have much appetite after traveling for such long hours.

Ian sat on the couch. He gazed at John for a moment, but neither of them spoke to one another.Sophia only needed to take one look at John before she could tell that he was being difficult again. He’s always like that, Sophia thought. He’s always making things hard for himself. Both Ian and I havemoved on from the past; He’s the only one who’s still caught up in what happened between Ian andme.

Sophia shifted her gaze to look at Ian. She asked him about the internet controversy and whether hewas impacted by it. Ian seemed rather relaxed as he responded to her. “It’s no big deal. I don’t reallycare about this. My company told me that they’ll handle it, so I’m leaving it to them.”

Aurora let out a sigh from where she sat beside them. “I’m the main contributor to this wholecontroversy. I should be blamed since I was the one who started it.” Aurora often blamed herself for thismatter, and Ian was starting to get frustrated over her self-critical comments. He couldn’t seem to gether to move past this matter no matter how much he attempted to talk to her.

“I guess there is some good in this. The public might be more inquisitive toward these matters if theycontinued to remain hidden. Now that all of the information is out there, at least you guys know thatthere won’t be other hidden dangers once this whole controversy is over,” John uttered.

Sophia nodded. “I saw a few articles reporting about the whole controversy, but I think Ian’s companymight have covered up some of the posts. The controversy seemed to have acted as some form ofreverse psychology to the public. This issue might be a major one now, but I’m sure it will come to anend really soon. Furthermore, I’m sure no one will use it against Ian after that.” She then turned toAurora. “It’s not entirely a bad thing. If the news doesn’t get uncovered now, it might be exposed in thefuture, when Ian is more famous and adored by the public.”

Aurora felt a little more at ease after hearing their words. She nodded along with a sigh. “I hope all ofthis will die down soon.”

“I think it shouldn’t be that hard to deal with this matter. As long as you guys and the Morgans are onthe same side and addressing the public with the same narratives, then it should be easy to stoppeople from speculating online,” John finally uttered. What he said made sense—Ian had thought of theexact same solution.

Before they arrived, Ian had already made plans to visit Sean. Regardless of whether Bryce was fakinghis illness, Ian knew that he wouldn’t be able to see him in the hospital. In that case, Sean would becalling the shots for the family for the time being. If Sean agreed to step forward and clarify theMorgans’ stand on the issue, then things would be much easier to resolve.

Ian nodded his head in agreement with John.

At this time, Logan said, “Well, you need to watch out for the two other b*stards, then. I heard that theycontacted a few media companies to release gossip about you, Ian. However, that was also when OldMr. Morgan fell ill. Both of them were reluctant to make any moves after that. But I’m guessing theymight do something soon since Old Mr. Morgan is starting to get better now.” novelbin

Ian sighed. “I don’t think we can stop those two, but I don’t think their sources are credible either. I’msure the media companies know that as well.” Furthermore, if Sean is on our side, then anything thatSally and Simon say will make it seem like they’re going against Sean. Ian was pretty sure that thosetwo didn’t have the guts to do such a thing.

As long as they weren’t sure about Bryce’s condition, the whole Morgan Family would be under Sean’scontrol. Leah and her two children would have to obey Sean’s words if they wanted to protect their ownwellbeing.

Logan frowned. “But did you try to ask around about Sean? Have you heard what his stance isregarding this matter?”

“I spoke to him for a bit before this. He’s okay.” Ian felt rather confident toward Sean’s attituderegarding the matter. Sean wasn’t one who enjoyed causing trouble, and, like Ian, he wanted to resolvethe matter as soon as possible.
