Chapter 1589

Seated on the bed, Cindy gestured for Aurora to take a seat as well before she said, “It was just a smallargument. No biggie, but I don’t know how I should put it. No one is in the right or wrong; we just havedifferent opinions. I didn’t see the point in continuing the argument, so it’s better for the both of us tocool down for now. Recently, there are many issues on the Internet as well, and my family isn’t sopleased about it, so they’re asking me to return home until this matter has blown over.”

“Both of you have been together for such a long time already. Don’t make a rash decision,” Auroraadvised, feeling helpless.

Shaking her head, Cindy answered, “I’m not making a rash decision. Actually, I’m very calm now.”

Then, Aurora took out her cell phone and glanced at it. “I didn’t inform Ian that I came to look for you,but I think he must have guessed it. Look, he sent me so many texts while I was on my way here, telling me to have a good chat with you. From this, I can tell that he wanted me to put in a few goodwords for him so that you won’t be angry anymore. As he grew up alone, nobody taught him how to get

along with others, so he has no clue. This is the fault of us as his parents.”

However, Cindy merely lowered her gaze without a word, and Aurora pushed her cell phone into herhand when she saw how unmoved she seemed. “Take a look at the messages he sent me and you’llknow what he’s feeling.”

With a knot between her brows, Cindy’s gaze swept across the screen, and sure enough, Ian had sentAurora a lot of messages indeed, telling her to have a good chat with herself. He even said that he wastoo reckless yesterday and couldn’t control his actions well because he was mad. But Cindy alreadyknew that, or else he wouldn’t have done what he did.

Instead of reading through all the messages in detail, she simply skimmed through it and returned thecell phone to Aurora. novelbin

“Tell me, Cindy,” she said, looking at her earnestly. “What happened between the both of youyesterday? I can help analyze the situation.”

Cindy wiped her face and answered, “It’s nothing, we just had some disagreements on some issues.”I’m embarrassed to tell her that he kissed me at the end of our argument, she thought.

Seated next to her, Aurora asked, “Wasn’t everything still fine when you went out for a meal with Garyyesterday? What did you talk about after you got back that ended in such a big fight?” Suddenly, shepaused as though something just came into her mind, and she gazed at Cindy with a look of surprise.“Was it because you went out with Gary?” When she saw that Cindy didn’t deny it, she took a deepbreath. “No way! Is it really because of this?” Then, she giggled. “If that’s the case, then I’m pretty surethat Ian is jealous. Well, I’m at fault as well. Yesterday, I was a little tired and left without checking onhow he was doing.” Patting her shoulder softly, she added, “You have to reflect on this as well. When

you go out alone with another man, of course Ian wouldn’t feel good about it. If he isn’t affected by it atall, can he still call himself your boyfriend?”

With a frown, Cindy recalled Ian’s actions last night. Is he unhappy that I went out for dinner with Gary?I don’t think so, she thought and shook her head. “It’s not that, but something else. Actually, it’s not abig deal. We were just in a bad mood yesterday, and after a few exchanges, we both said someunpleasant things.”

As she didn’t want Aurora to be involved in this, she tried her best to sound nonchalant. “It’s okay,we’ve had fights like this before and we can solve it ourselves. So, don’t worry.”

Despite that, Aurora couldn’t help but worry because Ian was looking so depressed when she visitedhim today that it seemed like he had no reason to live anymore. Even though she didn’t have a veryclose relationship with him, as his mother, her heart still broke to see him like this. Clearly, he didn’tcatch any sleep at all last night and just sat on the couch, and he looked dejected. Perhaps it wasbecause she was used to seeing him on TV and shows that she thought he must have been hurt verybadly when she saw him in this state.
