Chapter 1526

Cindy then went to take a look at her own room and found that nothing had changed, although she hadno idea what she was actually looking for. After a quick look around, she finally put down her luggageand went to the kitchen.

Much to her surprise, there was quite a huge change in the kitchen, which indicated that it wasfrequently used in the past two days. The kitchen wasn’t as clean as it had been when she was aroundand many items were not in its original position.

After giving it some thought, Cindy folded her sleeves and tidied up the kitchen. Then, she went towater the plants and cleaned the living room. Last but not least, she went to Ian’s room and helped himto change his bedsheets before taking the dirty one to the laundry. After all that, she washed somefruits before she sat on the couch with her legs crossed and switched on the television.

As there was nothing Cindy wanted to watch in particular, she found herself tuning into a show with Ianon it. It was a variety show that Ian had filmed some time ago, which required him to run and jumparound.

If she was an ordinary audience, she would have laughed along with the funny scenes. Now that shewasn’t a mere audience member, she furrowed her brows when she saw the content of the games inthe show. The games seemed so tiring, she sighed, realizing that being a celebrity was not easy at all.

Nevertheless, come to think of it, making money has never been easy. Celebrities are able to make alot of money after an exhausting day, but the money that I manage to earn after working myself to thebone for a month is not even one-tenth of what they get. Upon having such thoughts, Cindy feltespecially sorry for herself and sighed while leaning against the couch.

Before she could even finish exhaling, someone had opened the door from outside. Without evenhaving to think, she knew who it was, so she straightened her posture and looked in that direction.

Before she could even finish exhaling, someone had opened the door from outside. Without evenhaving to think, she knew who it was, so she straightened her posture and looked in that direction.

As Ian didn’t know that Cindy had returned, he intended to head straight to his room after he came in.However, when he arrived in the living room, he was stunned by what he saw. He first noticed that theliving room was obviously cleaner before he noticed a person seated on the couch.

The truth was that Cindy felt a little awkward as well although she had no idea why. So, she tried to becarefree and waved at Ian. “Hello.”

He stared at her for a while before he nodded. “You’re back.”

She hummed in response. “I will cook now. Call Mrs. Morgan over to have lunch.”

Ian turned around to walk toward his room, but he still replied, “Alright.”

Since she had prepared the ingredients earlier, as soon as she entered the kitchen, she directly pouredsome oil into the pan and turned on the stove.

Meanwhile, Ian took a shower in the bathroom and had a change of clothes before coming out. As hestood by the couch, he looked at the figure busy cooking in the kitchen and he suddenly smiled after awhile.

He gave Aurora a call to inform that Cindy had returned and invited her over for lunch.

“She’s back. Goodness!” The excitement in Aurora’s voice was clearly heard from the other end of theline. “She’s finally back.” Then, she added, “I planned to head over to your place to cook for you, butnow, it seems like I don’t need to do anything today. It’s good that she came back; or else, I would haveto see you pulling a long face every day.”

Ian chuckled and refuted, “I never pull a long face.”

“Look at yourself,” she muttered. “You can even laugh now when you didn’t even smile in the past twodays.”

He refused to admit it. “That’s impossible. You are spouting nonsense.”novelbin

Aurora, who refused to argue with him, said that she would be there right away and hung up on thecall.

Ian then placed his phone down on the coffee table. When he raised his head and looked toward thekitchen, the fragrance of Cindy’s cooking wafted in the air. After some thoughts, he walked to thekitchen and stood by the door. “Why are you back so early? Has your friend left?”

“No, but she will be busy for the entire day. There’s nothing much for me to do there, so I came back.”

He nodded and said nothing, but he didn’t leave; he merely stood at one side and watched her.

It was from the corner of her eyes that Cindy noticed Ian’s gaze on her the entire time. She blushed atthe discovery, but she tried her best to maintain a neutral expression. When she could no longer

withstand the embarrassment, she made small talk. “How was the shoot today? Did everything runsmoothly?”
