Chapter 1527

Ian nodded. “Everything has gone well and it’s less tiring today. Maybe it’s because everyone’s cheerfulthat the atmosphere was lively.”

Cindy smiled and replied, “If I’m not wrong, the special guest today is a comedian. I’m sure with himaround, you all must have felt more relaxed.”

He exclaimed, “You’re right. Out of all the shows that I have recently attended, this episode was themost relaxing one. The host was friendly and the guests were being nice.”

As he was speaking, she took out the dishes and placed them on the glazed countertop beside.

Ian understood what she was up to; he voluntarily went over to collect the dishes and left them on thedining table outside.

The two of them had now developed some sort of tacit understanding between them, so some of theactions could be understood without being expressed in words.

After Cindy had prepared two dishes, Aurora arrived.

As soon as Aurora stepped into the house, she inhaled deeply. “Yes, this is the smell that has beenlacking. Cindy’s cooking is certainly special.”

Since Cindy was in the kitchen, she responded audibly, “I’ve made two dishes that you like. Please eatmore later.”

Aurora glanced at the dishes on the table and remarked, “You are so considerate. You actually knowthat I like these two dishes.”

In fact, other than having great strength, Cindy was known for her attention to details.

She then continued cooking for a little while more in the kitchen and made two dishes that Ian liked totake care of the mother and son’s preferences.

When they could finally start their meal, Aurora went to grab two bottles of beer from the fridge. “Hereyou go! Since the two of you don’t have much to do today, let’s drink up.” novelbin

Although Ian seldom consumed alcohol, he still kept two bottles of beer in the fridge for Cindy to usewhenever she cooked fish. As it turned out, the beers came in handy at that moment.

Cindy didn’t reject Aurora’s suggestion as she headed to the kitchen to get the glasses while Auroraopened the bottles and filled the beer mugs.

As it wasn’t a formal occasion that required them to say something beforehand, the three of themsimply clinked their glasses against one another.

Although Cindy couldn’t hold her drink particularly well, she had previously verified it herself that shewas still able to drink a bit. On top of that, since she was at home, she felt more open and relaxed.

On the contrary, Aurora’s alcohol tolerance was rather excellent, which caught Cindy by surprise. Therewere two bottles of beer in which Cindy shared one with Ian while Aurora finished the other one on herown.

Aurora even smacked her lips as she stared at the dishes on the table. “It’s really a waste not to havebeer when the food is fantastic. You two wait for a while; I’ll go and get more beers.”

Much to Cindy’s surprise, Ian was especially amicable today as he didn’t stop Aurora from drinking. Heeven held Aurora’s arm and offered, “Sit for a while. I will get it.”

Aurora had annoyed the hell out of him when she was drunk the other time. Hence, Cindy figured thatIan would step in and stop Aurora when she said that she wanted to drink.

Nevertheless, not only did he not object to her, he even offered to buy the beer.

It seems like everything has gone extremely smoothly in his film shoot today, which has landed him insuch a good mood, Cindy thought.

As there was a mini market in front of their neighborhood, it was rather convenient for them to buythings.

And so, Ian grabbed his jacket before he directly headed out.

After he left, she uttered, “I thought that he would stop you from drinking.”

Aurora grinned, “When I took the beers from the fridge, he cast a glance at me. From his gaze, I couldtell that he wouldn’t stop me.”

Cindy chuckled and remarked, “It seems like both of you are getting along really well lately.”

Aurora nodded. “He is actually a warm person even though he looks cold on the surface. He may seem

indifferent about many things, but it’s actually because he is weak in expressing himself.” She thensighed and added, “It’s the older generation’s fault. The poor living environment he had when he waslittle has caused him to develop this kind of personality. Truth is, he’s rather sensitive in a lot ofsituations, but he lacks the courage to express himself.”

Cindy nodded and gave a reply that suited her identity. “I think that we get along quite well. Since wehave been together for a long time, we speak our mind freely.”
