Chapter 500

I shook my head. "It's the second time you did this. I suspect that you intend to use violence in front of

me. What are you hinting at?"

He took off his jacket and threw it on the sofa. He leaned his slender body down on the sofa. He

slouched and replied, "It was an accident. I lost control of myself. I'll be more careful next time."

I was speechless.

He ordered a few more glasses of wine as the waiter cleaned up the mess. He stared at me and

added, Tve also discovered that you're a busybody."

Me? A busybody?

"When have I ever meddled with other people's business?" I responded. I never thought of myself as

someone who liked getting into people's business.

He gulped down the wine. He raised his eyebrows and said, "Look, that lady has been glancing at you

a few times now."

Surprised, I turned my head slightly to look at who he was referring to. I noticed that the girl who was

beaten just now had not left yet and she was standing blankly by the table. It seemed like she was

waiting for the manager.

I puckered my lips. I glimpsed at Aaron and pointed out, "There's nothing I can help her with."

"You thought you were helping her just now, but in fact, you've just caused her more trouble!" A voice

sounded from behind me out of nowhere, scaring me a little.

Suddenly, a gorgeous woman sat down next to me. She looked to be a flamboyant and aggressive type

of person.

I was shocked for a moment before greeting her, "Nice to meet you!"

The woman glanced at me and said disdainfully, "I'm Freya, what's your name?"

Could she be Freya Moore?

As in Freya Moore - Master Moore's youngest daughter and Pedro's younger sister?

Haha!

What a coincidence!

I replied, "I'm Arianna Reid!"

Hearing my name, she sat astonished for a minute. Then, she set her narrowed eyes on me. "Are you

the Arianna Reid who made Valerie Lawson lose all her good rep?"

My lips twitched and I didn't speak. I didn't have a good impression of the Moore family, so I wasn't

really willing to talk to her.

Aaron responded, "Stop talking nonsense! We came out to drink and to have fun. Miss Moore, if you're

looking for trouble, you can hang around at another table. Stop spewing nonsense here."

Freya snorted, then stared at me. "My, aren't you surrounded by a bunch of people who are protecting

you."

"Miss Moore, what's the matter?" I asked. I didn't want to talk further.

"Stop rejecting me so openly. I'm here to make your acquaintance," Freya explained, "We should work

together since we share the same enemy. Like you, I hate Valerie Lawson and her hypocritical

daughter. Thus, we should be friends."

I frowned but didn't say anything in response.

Her gaze fell on the girl who had just been beaten by the middle-aged man and added, "Since you've

made the first move, don't you intend to help her to the end? She's just a small, helpless girl. Do you

think this matter's all done and dusted just because Mr. Reid has ruined his life?"

I peered at Aaron and noticed that he looked a little impatient, "Don't dawdle!"

Freya wasn't angry. She continued, "To put it bluntly, you are the young master and lady of the Reid

family. After beating someone up, no one would dare do anything but keep tight-lipped on the matter.

However, she's different. She's just a helpless little girl who's come to this place to earn some money.

But she's in trouble now because that d*mn fatty will come looking for her in future and make her

suffer."

Seeing I was frowning without saying a word, she snorted, "Stop looking so nonchalant. You're just

lucky enough that you're pretty and have met so many saviors. Naturally, you'd have people protecting

you, but that girl - like many others in the world - doesn't have your fortune nor does she have your

luck."

She pointed at the girl who had just been beaten and said, "Look, isn't she beautiful? Doesn't she have

a great figure? Perhaps she hails from a family background similar to yours. However, she certainlynovelbin

doesn't have a husband like Hendrix, nor does she have an older brother like Mr. Reid. She doesn't

even have someone to value her the way Charles does with you. Hence, she's miserable."

This woman...
