Chapter 499

"Let's go!" I said. Since we were already here, it wouldn't make sense to not go inside.

I didn't drink often. Aaron only brought me here because he knew that I was in a bad mood and wanted

to take me out to let off some steam.

We didn't ask for a private room, and only sat at the table in the hall. After ordering a glass of wine, he

looked at me and said, "If you are not pleased, you can divorce him. The Reid family's property is just

as prosperous and abundant as Mr. Robert's. You'll have more than enough money to go around."

I laughed. I had not drank in a long time. After downing a glass of cocktail, I felt extremely refreshed.

"Why do you think that I'm unhappy?" Squinting my eyes, I held my chin in my hand as I watched a

woman dance on the stage. I told Aaron, I'm satisfied with everything. What's there for me to be

unhappy about?

He didn't drink the wine. He just stared at me with sympathy in his eyes. "Arianna, promise me. No

matter what happens in the future, I will always be your brother. Don't..."

He trailed off as pain flashed across his eyes.

I sighed. I always felt that he had a lot hidden away in his heart; things that he didn't want to tell me

about.

Things that he wouldn't tell me even if I asked.

Drinking when one was in a bad mood was not a great idea as one could get easily drunk with just a

few glasses in.

A middle-aged man suddenly slapped a woman at the next table, causing her to fall to the ground.

Aaron and I looked over. We saw the woman lying on the ground, her delicate cheeks were red and

swollen.

"F*ck! You expect me to respect you? A prostitute? You've ruined my mood!" The middle-aged mannovelbin

then kicked the woman's lower abdomen in a rage.

I immediately threw the glass in my hands in the man's direction and it hit his chubby legs.

That man screamed in pain, "Who threw that?"

"Me!" It was not me who spoke, but Aaron.

He got up and stared at the man in disgust with one hand in his pocket. He said in detest, "It's fine if

you were born ugly, but to not have proper manners either? When did the Emperor Club start allowing

such b*stards in?"

When the manager heard the commotion, he rushed over immediately. When he saw Aaron, he smiled

apologetically and said his apologies. "Mr. Reid, I'm really sorry that he spoiled your mood. Why don't

you come with me to the private room on the second floor?"

Aaron glanced at him and said nonchalantly, "I would like to stay here, is there something wrong with

that? But there's a dog in the room, so please get him out of here."

The manager looked conflicted as if he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He casted his

glance towards the chubby man and said, "I'm sorry, Sir. We have rules that must be followed. We don't

condone public disturbances that would affect our other customers."

How could the manager be so well-mannered as he said this to the man?

That man looked unhappy. Judging from his outfit and the big gold chain hanging around his neck, he

must be the mine owner in the north west area. He must be very despotic as he was rich enough to

purchase a house in Jarold City to settle down here.

Shoving the manager aside, he stared at Aaron and scolded him, "Who are you? Quit sticking your

nose into another man's business!"

What kind of person was Aaron? If he wanted to kill someone, he'd have tons of frightful and cruel

methods up his sleeves. He kicked at the man's bulged belly without saying a word, leaving the fatty no

chance to resist.

He then unhesitatingly landed a kick on that man's crotch. "You like this, don't you? If you curse at me

again, I'll cripple you. Go on, do it!"

"Ouch..." That man sounded like a pig being slaughtered. He writhed in pain as he grabbed onto his

crotch, rolling on the ground.

More people started gathering around, stealing glimpses at Aaron and I.

After Aaron vented his anger, his good mood was back. He looked at the manager and instructed him,

"Take him away, and bar him from entering from now on!"

The manager did not dare to say anything. He quickly got assistance and then carried the man away.

I stood aside, watching him squirm his lips. This was the second time I saw him do this. If he was in a

bad mood, he would beat someone up, using them as his punching bag.

Seeing me gazing at him motionlessly, he tightened his lips and asked gently, "Did I scare you?"
