Chapter 1176

There was only Irvin and I left in the ward. Usually, I wasn't one to give life advice, but I felt that if Ididn't say anything, I would regret it and so would Irvin.

Therefore, after a moment's silence, I said, "I met Shirley six years ago on a flight. I remember it soclearly. I accidentally bumped into her on the plane aisle. When I wanted to apologize, I saw howbeautiful she was with her long blonde hair cascading down her back. She was angry that I bumpedinto her, but after my apology, she didn't say anything more. I was quite amazed that such a prettygirl existed in the world. Perhaps it was destiny that allocated our seats together, and so, over thenext ten hours of flight, we got to know each other. When she realized that it was my first time goingto Mesville, she was worried that I might lose my way. So, she left me a message, saying that Icould contact her whenever I needed help."

Irvin looked at me with a questioning look in his eyes. He seemed to not understand why I wouldbring up issues of the past.

I continued, "That day, I was actually going to meet Hendrix but I met Shirley by accident. This

girl amazed me. After so many years, I still remembered what a pretty girl she had been."novelbin

Looking at Irvin, I sighed and said, "Do you know how I felt when I saw her today? In just six years, she changed from one of the world's most beautiful girls to a dishevelled mother, who hascompletely lost her self confidence. I don't know what her parents would say if they saw her thisway, but I'm sure they would feel sad. She's their precious daughter, but after being with you for justsix years, she turned out this way?"

He frowned and said sharply, "I have given her everything she needs. As for anything apart fromthat, I have none to give, and so I will not give it to her."

I smiled faintly and said, "So, do you mean money?"

I laughed out loud and looked at him, saying, "Irvin, what difference do you see in me between nowand six years ago?"

His eyes fell on me and he said, "You are more calm and mature now!"

I nodded, "I lived in Hovell for five years after I left Hendrix. During that period, I had the mostordinary but beautiful life. Although I didn't have much money, I had Anne. She was my everything, and my life was complete. Later, when Hendrix found me and took me back to Jarold City, everything was well too. He was different from you. He gave me everything, including all that hecould and could not. I left Jarold City not because I didn't love him, or because he didn't give meenough. It was just that I couldn't get over the past, but it didn't mean that we had no future. At thattime, I thought no one had a life more difficult than mine, but that was before I knew about Shirley. Then, I felt that I was truly blessed. Irvin, whatever happened between Hendrix and I was not onpurpose. But the case between Shirley and yourself, is different. You were the one who gave her allthe suffering she's going through. Being hurt by someone you love is worse than dying. Irvin, sinceyou married her and have a child with her, no matter how selfish you are, you should at least carefor them. You should know that we are just friends, and we will be friends forever. However, Shirleyis your wife and the mother of your child. If you love her, you will be happier. The more you try toharm her, the more pain you will experience..."
