Chapter 446

“Mommyy!”

Each time Felix called “Mommy,” it was always straightforward. When Sunshine called ” Mommy,” shealways extended the last syllable. Esther could easily distinguish who was calling out to her.

“My darlings, have you been waiting long?”

Sunshine replied in a sweet and soft voice, “Nope!”

Esther pointed to the bathroom, ruffled the hair of the two adorable children, and said gently, “I’m goingto take a shower. We’ll chat later, alright?”

“Okay.”

When Esther came out of the shower, Felix had fallen asleep. As a boy, Felix often played vigorouslyduring the day. Once his energy was spent, he would sleep early in the evening. “Sunshine, what bookare you reading?” Esther sat down next to Sunshine.

Sunshine snuggled into Esther’s arms like a clingy kitten. “Mommy, you smell so nice!” Esther saw thatSunshine was reading “The Magic School Bus”, so she joined Sunshine and began reading the picturebook with her.novelbin

“Sunshine, Anna and I are not yet qualified to adopt you. I plan to let Uncle Steffan and Aunt Xaraadopt you…”

Sunshine raised her head to meet Esther’s gaze, her starry eyes misty. “Mommy, don’t you want meanymore?”

Esther bent down, gently kissed Sunshine’s forehead, and softly assured, “No, my dear, I absolutelywant you, Sunshine. You’re incredibly adorable. How could I ever think otherwise?”

“Really?”

Esther extended her pinky and whispered, “Shall we make a pinky promise?”

“Okay… Okayy!”

They hooked their pinkies.

“Once Uncle Steffan and Aunt Xara have completed the adoption procedures, Mommy will come topick you up, okay?”

“Mm.” Sunshine held onto Esther, her voice soft and adorable, “Mommy, Sunshine loves you so much.”

At first, Sunshine just followed Felix’s lead in calling Esther “Mommy”. As she continued, Esther gotused to Sunshine sweetly calling her “Mommy.”

Esther didn’t know why but felt a special connection with Sunshine. She couldn’t help but want to treather well, and she loved her just as much as her son.

As Sunshine fell asleep in her arms, Esther gently patted her and Felix on the head.

‘Once I’ve found my two daughters, I’ll be raising five children. It seems I’ll need to work even

harder to earn money,’ she thought.

In her sleep, Sunshine mumbled, “Mommy.”

Esther smiled at the thought of how wonderful it would be if Sunshine and Twinkle were her daughters.
