Chapter 1230: Listen

Chapter 1230: Listen

"Just do as he told you. You just need to truthfully tell me what he said. After my wedding is over, it will

be difficult for him to do anything. However, just to be safe, you also need to let the others in the King

family know, especially now that he's focused on Hance City."

"Isn't this harming him?"

"Of course not. Only when he returns to Flento City will he relax. Mom, do you want to see him like this

for the rest of his life?"

Sienna asked heavily.

Mrs. King thought about Sienna's words and nodded slightly, thinking they made sense. She replied,

"But there are still risks involved in this. What if the people from the King family take this opportunity tonovelbin

take King Group away from him?"

"Mom, it's not easy to take away the CEO position of a company, especially considering the benefits

they've enjoyed under my brother's leadership all these years. If it were someone else, would they still

enjoy these benefits?"

Sienna earnestly analyzed the situation with Mrs. King. Mario's abilities surpassed all the members of

the King family combined, which is why he was chosen to lead them.

Mario's journey to this point hadn't been easy, and Sienna understood that very well.

She truly recognized Mario's abilities, not only because of his hard work but also because of his natural

leadership skills, especially in negotiations and business dealings.

Sienna didn't believe that Mario's actions would be easily countered by the King family. After all, he had

strategized and led for so many years.

Sienna had a long conversation with Mrs. King, once again telling her that her feelings for Mario were

purely sibling-like. She didn't want to lose Mrs. King or Mario, as only family relationships could be

maintained forever and provide additional support to Mario.

Mrs. King was a smart person too, and since Sienna had expressed herself so clearly, she wouldn't

continue to dwell on the matter.

She just said to Sienna, "Sienna, it's not that I don't like you. I raised you, and from the moment you

entered the King family, I never let you go without anything. On the contrary, you have had better things

than the other cousins in the King family. I truly treated you like my own daughter. But I have hurt you

with regard to Mario, because I had no other choice. Although I know what I did was wrong, I couldn't

control myself because Mario has had such a difficult journey, especially after your father passed away.

He has put in a lot of effort and faced many challenges. I can't let him encounter any problems."

Mrs. King couldn't control her emotions and began to lose control. She quickly lowered her head,

looking extremely guilty and self-blaming. Seeing this scene, Sienna felt sorry for her and handed her a

tissue, whispering, "Mom, it's all in the past. Let's not talk about it anymore. I understand your

thoughts."

As an adopted daughter compared to her biological son, they were indeed treated the same when

there were no issues. Mrs. King even showed more affection towards Sienna. However, when

problems arose, Mrs. King chose her biological son, and Sienna could understand that. But in that

particular situation, she couldn't be magnanimous. She had nothing but Mrs. King, and it would be false

to say that she didn't blame her at all.

However, now that the situation had passed, Sienna had let go, and she didn't want to continue

tormenting herself by holding onto it. During the meal, they opened up to each other and had many

heartfelt conversations, which made their relationship much closer than before.

After the meal, Sienna drove Mrs. King back to the hotel. Sienna said to Mrs. King, "I'll be busy

preparing for the competition in the near future, so I may not have much time to come and accompany

you. If you need anything, just give me a call. On the day of the competition, I'll come to pick you up

and we can go to the venue together, okay?"

"Alright, focus on your own matters. Don't worry about me. If I get bored at the hotel, I'll go out for a

walk." Mrs. King smiled slightly. It was probably her happiest day since arriving in Hance City.

Finally, Mrs. King took the fruits Sienna had bought for her and got out of the car. Sienna watched her

enter the hotel lobby before leaving.

After Mrs. King returned, Mario naturally found out immediately. However, Mario unusually didn't ask

what Mrs. King and Sienna had talked about. He simply said he had work and left.

Mrs. King didn't think much of it.

Mario returned to his room and called his secretary. He said, "Contact Mr. Burris from Armstrong Corp

and find out their thoughts on the suspension of the Ayan project."

The secretary nodded gently and said, "I will contact them immediately, Miss King. Are you considering

collaborating with Armstrong Corp?"

Mario didn't give a clear response, but simply said indifferently, "Having one more friend is definitely

better than having one more stranger."

The secretary acknowledged and immediately went to contact Horace.

When Horace received the call from Mario's secretary, he was having a meal with Ayan, Rex, and a

few others. Camille was also present, and Sienna was on her way.

After hearing the secretary's introduction, Horace subconsciously paused and then glanced at Ayan,

making a gesture with his mouth. Everyone quieted down and waited for Horace to finish the call.

Horace asked, "What's the matter?"

Mario stated his purpose, and after listening, Horace subconsciously looked at Ayan and casually

switched on the speakerphone. He responded calmly, "Miss King wants me to find out Mr. Armstrong's

thoughts? However, Armstrong Corp is just a participant in this project. Even if Mr. Armstrong knows, it

doesn't seem to make much of a difference, right?"

Mario's secretary said, "Mr. Burris, Mrs. Simpson is part of the Armstrong family. Mr. Armstrong is Mrs.

Simpson's father, so he still has some influence over her, right?"

"But this matter is the fault of the Nores family. It seems like there shouldn't be any problem with Mrs.

Simpson's stance," Horace replied.

"Mr. Burris, please don't misunderstand. Miss King wants to be prepared in case the Nores family

continues to have trouble with Alicia. In that case, we can only rely on Mr. Armstrong to persuade Mrs.

Simpson to be more accommodating. After all, we can't keep interrupting the project like this, right? If

this continues, it won't have much impact on Simpson Group, but Armstrong Corp may not have it so

easy," the secretary explained.

Horace simply smiled lightly, without directly answering the question. He said, "I understand Miss

King's intentions, but I'm not sure if Mr. Armstrong would be willing to do that. So, for now, I can't give

Miss King any definite answers!"

The topic ended there. After hanging up the phone, Horace looked at Ayan again and smiled faintly,

saying, "You heard what Mario said. What does Mr. Simpson plan to do?"
