After Horace spoke, Ayan hadn't had a chance to respond yet, but Rex's voice was the first to sound.
Rex said, "What does he mean? He wants the Armstrong family to pressure Cami so that you won't

completely put this project aside for her sake."
Brody didn't take joy in those words; his face darkened.

is crucial for us, after all."

that."

The secretary on the side, seeing the situation, asked softly, "Mr. Burris, does your message to Mr.
Armstrong mean you want him to speak nicely to Mrs. Simpson? But their relationship isn't very close,

said, "So that's what Ayan meant."
