Chapter 1063: Love Dearly

Chapter 1063: Love Dearly

Horace knew what Ayan was referring to, didn't he?

He remained silent for a moment and then replied in a hushed tone, "I understand what you're saying.

I'm just worried that her thoughts might not be as complicated. She might just feel a simple, directnovelbin

sense of disrespect toward the Armstrong family or think I'm too cold-hearted in my dealings with her

parents. If our relationship were better and there were no misunderstandings, she would probably listen

to what I say. But if we have conflicts and arguments, I'm afraid she might misunderstand me."

Horace had always worried about this, as he knew the depth of Grace's feelings for her parents and

how she had always relied on them in the Armstrong family. Her parents were incredibly important to

her. Even if he disagreed with what her parents were doing or felt that it was wrong, and even though

people around him, like Camille or Horace, were more critical of her parents' actions, her dislike was

only temporary. She hadn't really experienced any unfairness or unkindness from her parents, so

Horace was concerned that she might be influenced.

Horace's concerns left Ayan silent, as he had never had such thoughts about Camille.

As he contemplated this, his deep eyes squinted slightly, and the emotions welling up in his gaze grew

even heavier.

Because Camille didn't have deep feelings for the Armstrongs or her parents and her parents hadn't

been particularly good to her, she couldn't be influenced by them. She wouldn't think of anything good

about her parents when she had conflicts or arguments with them because her parents hadn't treated

her well.

Since her parents' goodness to her had been virtually non-existent, no matter how hard she thought,

she couldn't come up with something truly praiseworthy about them. This made Ayan suddenly feel

heartache for Camille. He gazed deeply at the woman on the video screen, who sat there silently

watching Grace. Although her facial expression didn't reveal any emotion, Ayan felt that she wasn't

happy at this moment.

Camille hadn't received affection from her parents, yet she had to console her older sister, who had

grown up in the care of her parents' hands. Of course, Ayan knew that it wasn't Grace's fault. His thin

lips turned even colder, and the chill in his eyes became more apparent. He held his breath,

maintaining silence for a long time without making a sound.

It wasn't until Camille's voice came through the monitor again that he finally broke his silence.

She asked Grace, "Have you made a decision? Do you want to leave Hance and go on a journey for a

while to clear your mind? You've never left Hance City by yourself, right? To be honest, the outside

world isn't as chaotic as you might imagine. It's actually quite beautiful, and you'll only realize it once

you've seen it with your own eyes."

Camille couldn't help but laugh as she continued, "I must seem like a human trafficker to you right now,

don't I? I feel like I've been pushing you to leave Hance City and the Armstrong family. If it weren't for

my not having their favor, I'd doubt if I'm trying to get rid of you to take everything from the Armstrong

family while you're away from Hance City."

After expressing these thoughts, Camille felt her self-doubt intensify.

She smiled helplessly. "I want to make it clear that I genuinely have no ulterior motives. I don't need

you to agree, and if you don't, it won't change our relationship. So, you must decide willingly and

rationally, okay?"

Grace also smiled and said, "Cami, don't be like this, okay? I don't have any doubts about you. I know

you're not interested in anything related to the Armstrong family. After all, you already have more than

the Armstrong family can offer. I understand that you're doing this because you care about me, so don't

feel any pressure, okay?"

Camille nodded, "Good, if that's how you put it, then I won't be polite. I'm doing this for your own good,

but it comes with no pressure. So, relax, okay?"

Grace responded, "Okay, I get it. If leaving Hance is the best, when would it be?"

"Right now. Leaving immediately is the best option. The sooner, the better."

Camille used various words to emphasize acting quickly, ultimately concluding that leaving now was

the best choice.

Grace nodded slightly, not saying anything, but rather seemed deep in thought.

The silence continued for nearly half a minute before Grace finally looked at Camille and said, "Can

they come out now? Since everyone is here, my decision isn't a secret, and they should be able to hear

it, right?"

"Of course!" Camille raised her hand and gestured toward the surveillance camera, making a series of

movements that left Grace bewildered. Just moments ago, they had been discussing Horace in front of

the camera, and Grace immediately felt embarrassed.

She hurriedly asked, "Cami, did they hear our conversation just now?"

Camille didn't hide it and replied candidly, "They probably heard it all."

Grace gasped and her expression exploded with embarrassment.

Seeing her reaction, Camille couldn't help but laugh.

The two men in the study also walked out. Horace returned to his seat in the same place and sat next

to Grace. He reached out and held Grace's hand, an intimate gesture that made Grace feel

uncomfortable, especially in front of her sister, Camille.

Grace instinctively wanted to pull her hand away, but Horace addressed the situation directly, saying,

"They already know about us, so you can't even acknowledge this much?"

Grace stopped trying to free her hand, but she couldn't bring herself to look at Camille.

This awkwardness weighed on her.

Camille noticed and couldn't help but smile. However, Ayan raised his hand to cover her eyes and

blocked her sight. He whispered, "Do we need to keep watching? Let's focus on the matter at hand,

okay?"

Camille grunted softly, knowing that her somewhat jealous partner didn't want her looking at other men.

However, she didn't make an issue of it and followed his prompt. She said, "So, what's your answer?

Now that everyone is here, just tell us directly, okay?"

Grace adjusted her emotions and, after a few seconds, her voice began softly, "I've decided to leave

Hance because I believe you won't harm me, and I trust that you have your reasons for doing this. I

admit that my emotions have influenced my thinking, and I know that if I stay in Hance City for too long,

I'll eventually worry and willingly return to the Armstrong family because of my parents. I can't imagine

the consequences of going back, and I don't dare to think about it. So, I think leaving Hance City is

probably the best option for me."

Grace nodded as she finished, as if making this decision was quite challenging for her.

Watching her, Camille couldn't help but say, "It's just temporary, you're going out for a while, which is

actually good for you. If you find it too uncomfortable out there, you can always come back."

Grace responded, "Yes, I understand. People have to learn to grow up and face many things. So, I

believe I'll handle this."

"Okay, now that you've made your decision, don't hesitate any longer. Mr. Burris, can you arrange a

suitable time for her to leave?"

"Tonight!" Horace said in a casual tone.

Grace was surprised, and Camille was also taken aback. "Tonight?"

"Yes, tonight," he repeated, nodding.

Grace asked, "Is it so urgent?"

She had just made the decision and expected it to be at least tomorrow.

But Horace explained, "You'll go to Dane first. Mr. Simpson will arrange a place for you to stay, and

early tomorrow morning, Mr. Simpson will be going to Dane City for business. At that time, I'll find an

excuse to go along, and then I'll escort you out of the country."

This was something Horace had just discussed with Ayan in the study, and Ayan informed him about

his business trip tomorrow, which led Horace to make this decision immediately.
