Chapter 492 Miss Johnson

On Clarissa’s end, she was troubled when she saw Damien’s message asking her to bring dinner. If

she didn’t do it, it would be petty and unreasonable of her.

If she brought dinner, then she would have to bring a portion for both Damien and Chanel. She also

needed to bring some porridge for Logan.

Thinking about it, she prepared some food at home and made porridge. She even went to the canteen

to buy some fish. Then, she packed everything up neatly.

After getting the food, Clarissa realized she hadn’t asked where Damien was.

Clarissa: [Where are you? Let me know.]

Clarissa was about to head out to the campus entrance and call for a cab. She was worried she would

get no response if she only sent the message to one person and wouldn't have an address to give the

driver, so she texted both Damien and Chanel.

Damien was the one who sent her the address, but Chanel didn’t reply.

Chanel thought it was wonderful to have only herself and Damien in the room while Logan slept. When

Clarissa arrived, it would be the three of them. Three people was one too many, not to mention very

awkward.

She took a surreptitious glance at Damien. How good-looking he was, with sharp eyebrows and

enchanting eyes! At present, he was sending messages on his phone.

Chanel wanted to look at Damien more.

“It’ll be after midnight once the IV finishes,” Chanel said.novelbin

“It’s fine. I’ll be here.”

His words, “I’ll be here,” made Chanel’s heart feel full.

However, Clarissa arrived soon enough to bring them dinner. Her face was even dotted with droplets of

sweat. It looked like she had run here. When Damien saw Clarissa, his eyes shone and his gaze never

left her.

“Chanel! I sent you a Whatsapp message, but you didn’t reply. Thankfully I sent it to both of you,”

Clarissa said as she put the food out. Then, she went to check on Logan.

Chanel had hoped that Clarissa wouldn’t come if she pretended that she hadn’t received the message.

In the end, Clarissa had still come.

This was the first time Clarissa was seeing Logan Fur. His eyes looked nothing like Damien’s, and were

very much distinct from Neil. At first glance, Neil looked like the kind of child who was well-nourished

and well-proportioned with a healthy flush. However, Logan looked malnourished. He was younger than

Neil by only a little, but was much smaller in size.

“Cold… So cold…” Logan muttered in his sleep.

“It’s okay. It’s okay.” Sitting next to Logan, Clarissa soothed the child and touched his forehead.

Chanel was fine seeing Clarissa fuss with Logan as she had her dinner.

“Why does he keep saying that he’s cold?” Clarissa asked, eyebrows drawn together.

Chanel’s expression shifted slightly. “I don’t sleep in the same bed as him. He has his own room. Last

night, I tucked him back in twice. He must have kicked his sheets off.”

Looking at Logan, Clarissa found him to be quite pitiful.

While she had been caring for the child, Damien had been looking at her silently.

“Now you act like a mother,” he commented.

Clarissa ignored Damien’s taunt. “I’ve always been a mother.”

Seeing the way the two talked as if no one else was there, Chanel felt discomfited.

“It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten your food, Miss Johnson,” Damien said, teasing Clarissa.

Clarissa knew he was up to something. She really couldn’t escape his torment.

Additionally, he had called her Miss Johnson.

The way he called her that made her feel like she was being made fun of, as if he was flirting with her.

It was as though she was wearing a nurse’s costume or some other such strange practice.

Damien had completely ignored Chanel, as if Chanel wasn’t there.
