Chapter 326 Wade's gaze flashed with annoyance, but it was quickly replaced with a smile as he turned to look at Wilbur instead.

"What should I call you, sir?" "My last name's Penn," Wilbur said.

Wade nodded. "Mister Penn, it's a pleasure to meet you. May I please ask what you do for work?" "I'm unemployed." "Still haven't found a job yet, Wilbur?" Rainie Lark, one of the classmates laughed.

Wilbur smiled. "Yeah, not much I could do about it." The other classmates giggled.

Although they were not really mocking him, it was clear they did not think much of him at all. Se Nancy sighed to herself. These girls would lose their minds if they knew who Wilbur really was.

Things had been so simple back then.

Their friendship used to be so pure.

Everyone seemed to have changed ever since entering society, and some people had changed more than Nancy could understand.

Just then, Reggie raised his glass and said, "Guys, let's drink to Mister Lynch." The three girls raised their glasses, and Nancy raised her glass of water out of courtesy. Wilbur did the same as her as well.

Everyone dug into the food, drinking and chatting happily. | Reggie began to boast about just how capable and brilliant Wade was. Ever since he had inherited the position of chairman from his father, Wade had brought the travel agency to heights beyond imagination.

Wade was obviously smug from all the praise, and the three girls were ecstatic as well. These girls never quite had the opportunity to be in touch with people this rich.

After Reggie's exhaustive monologue, Wade turned to Wilbur with a chuckle.

"Tell you what, Wilbur. If you really can't find yourself a job, come and work at my travel agency. You're Reggie's classmate, after all. You too, ladies! Come to my office any time as

long as you're interested. I'll give you a position you'll be sure to like." Wilbur found those words a little humiliating. What did he mean by saying if Wilbur 'really couldn't find a job'? The girls, however, were already swayed. After all, everyone wanted a good job.

The girls nodded, saying that they would think about it. Nancy was silent.

Wilbur chuckled and ignored them entirely.

The wine was just about finished, and Reggie got to his feet as he looked at Nancy. "Guys, I'm in the mood for some golf. How about I take all of you with me?" "Golf?" The classmates were

overjoyed. Golf was considered a fancy | sport to them, and they had never played it before. Se | Nancy was the only one to turn the invitation down, saying that she had other things to do. Wilbur echoed her sentiment.

However, Reggie was persistent.

"Nancy, can you please do this for me? You might be a manager now, but we were classmates once, right? I'd be embarrassing myself in front of Mister Lynch if you don't go." Nancy frowned, looking at Wilbur desperately.

Wilbur did not want to go at all either.

"I'm sorry, Reggie. I've got something else at night, I won't be able to make ithe

C'mon, Wilbur! You haven't even got a job. What could you have to get to?" Wade chuckled. "Don't worry, I'ma VIP member of the golf club. Tonight's onme." "It's not about the money. I just really don't want to go," Wilbur said.

Reggie piped up at once. "I'll have the driver send you home then, no problem! Nancy will come with us." "I'm going home, too," Nancy said.

Wade eyed Reggie coldly. "Reggie, your classmates aren't being very nice here."novelbin
