Chapter 191

Chapter 191 Carrying Her Back to the Room

Eudora, tired, sat on the sofa, feeling sleepy but unable to sleep.

When she went to the study, Colbert wasn't there, so she sat in the study playing games.novelbin

It wasn't until eleven o'clock at night that Colbert finally returned.

Colbert entered the study to find Eudora in front of the computer playing games. He heard her saying,

"It's just a ten-game winning streak at the peak. What's so impressive?"

As a match just ended, Eudora took off her headphones and happened to see Colbert standing at the

entrance of the study.

His unexpected presence gave her a scare.

"Colbert, don't you make any noise when you walk? You scared me to death."

Startled, she put her hand on her chest. "Don't you know scaring people could frighten them to death?"

"Why are you so scared? Have you done anything wrong?"

With hands as fine as jade, Colbert undid the buttons of his sapphire blue suit, took it off and hung it on

a coat rack. He gave Eudora a cold look. "How is the job search going?"

"I-I'm still searching." Her eyes flickered, she quickly logged out of her game account, and stood up.

"Aren't you going to work? I won't bother you then, bye."

She hurriedly left the study, not wanting to chat too much with Colbert.

Back in the living room, she lay on the sofa, playing with her phone, watching TV dramas, completely

awake.

At half past two in the morning, Colbert came out of the study to find Eudora wide awake watching a TV

drama, so he asked, "Why aren't you sleeping?"

Lying on the sofa, hugging a cushion, she shook her head. "Can't sleep."

A slight frown crossed Colbert's forehead. "Did you sleep during the day?"

"No."

She sighed. "Maybe... I'm used to my own bed, not adapting well to a different place."

Colbert didn't say much. "Rest earlier."

He returned to his room and shut the door right after speaking.

Hearing the door close, Eudora glanced at Colbert's room door, somewhat puzzled. "This guy..."

It seemed like he was angry, indifferent to her, his face not looking too good either.

She didn't think much about it, and continued watching the variety show, laughing heartily.

Inside his room, Colbert listened to the noise from the living room, his eyes growing more profound.

At four in the morning, he could still hear Eudora laughing heartily, muttering something.

It was only half an hour later that everything fell silent.

He walked out of his room, to find Eudora asleep on the sofa, still hugging her cushion, sleeping

soundlessly.
