Chapter 192

Chapter 192 Stingy Colbert

Colbert stood in front of her with a slight frown. He bent down, lifting her into his arms and took her to

the guest bedroom.

She lay in bed, rolled over, and continued to sleep.

Wearing a blue strap nightdress, even though Eudora had underwear on, her skin showed when her

leg was raised onto the quilt, revealing a bit of her smooth white skin and a glimpse of her underwear.

Colbert, still with a cold expression, fetched another thin blanket, covered her, and then left.

She woke up naturally after a good sleep.

When Eudora woke up again, she found herself in the bedroom.novelbin

She got out of bed, freshened up and upon leaving her room, she found several paper bags in the

living room.

She walked over with curiosity. Looking at Colbert sitting at the dining table, she asked, "What did you

buy?"

"Sleepwear."

"But I already have sleepwear, don't I?" As Eudora spoke, she took out the new sleepwear and found

out that it was loose shorts and a t-shirt, a more conservative type of sleepwear.

"Oh, that's nice. I was planning on buying some anyway, but now that I have new ones, I won't need

to."

Initially, Eudora had wanted to buy new sleepwear herself. After all, it felt a bit improper for a woman

and a man to share a room and for her to be wearing a strap nightdress.

Especially considering that she had been sleeping on the living room couch for the last couple of days

and Colbert had been carrying her to the bedroom.

If she unintentionally sparked something in Colbert, he might lose control, and she'd be the one who'd

suffer the consequences.

She put down the sleepwear, walked over to Colbert, and laughed cheekily. "Thanks, bother."

This woman sure knew how to flatter.

Once there was any advantage for her, she would flatter him by calling him 'brother.' But at any other

time, she would simply call him by his name.

Colbert had almost gotten used to it.

Who knew the very next moment, Colbert would slap a receipt in front of her. "Remember to

reimburse."

Eudora's face fell immediately. "Really, Colbert, you're my brother, why do I have to pay for clothes you

bought?"

"You could consider paying with your body."

Colbert, spooning up a mouthful of oatmeal, commented as he ate.

Eudora, clutching the receipt, looked at the price for the two sets of sleepwear, which totaled over three

hundred dollars, probably the cheapest clothes Colbert had ever bought.

Fortunately, the price wasn't that high. So, she said, "Fine, it's only a little over three hundred dollars, I

can afford it."

After saying this, she asked again, "Is my food still in the kitchen?"
