Chapter 173

Chapter 173 Country Bumpkin

Colbert frowned at the shabby packaging.

He opened the package, took out a straw, and took a sip of the drink. He expected it to be a cup of

milk, but it tasted more like sugar water.

He stared at the drink in his hand and pondered with a frown.

"What are you looking at?"

Since downloading a large game would take a while, Eudora had some free time and came out, only to

see Colbert staring blankly at a glass of milk.

"What is this?"

Colbert asked.

"It's milk, two dollars a cup."

"Are you sure it's not sugar water?"

The packaging was plain, and the taste was terrible.

"The prices have been rising. Milk isn't as pure as it used to be," Eudora said helplessly.

Colbert nodded thoughtfully and began eating pasta, but it was clumped together, and he could hardly

swallow it. "Do you always eat such unappetizing food?"

"Pfft..."

Eudora couldn't help but laugh. "Colbert, have you never eaten pasta before? You need to mix the

pasta and sauce together. Otherwise, it won't taste good."

Eudora was in a great mood and suddenly found Colbert's demeanor very amusing.

"I don't eat this." Colbert said sincerely.

He was telling the truth.

Eudora pursed her lips and shook her head. "What a buzzkill."

She walked over, snatched the fork from Colbert's hand, helped him with the pasta, and handed the

fork back to him after the sauce was evenly distributed. "Try it again."

Colbert took the fork, glanced at Eudora, and ate a bite of pasta.

After the first bite, he thought it was just okay.

After the second bite, he felt it wasn't bad.

After the third bite...

"It tastes pretty good," he said while swallowing.novelbin

However, his manners were elegant, and he chewed slowly and gracefully as if dining in a high-end

restaurant.

Eudora sat across from him, her gaze fixed on him.

Colbert glanced at Eudora, and an inexplicable feeling welled up in his heart. He felt as if he were

married with his wife preparing breakfast for him and watching him eat.

It was so warm, harmonious, and beautiful.

The feeling vanished in an instant, but Colbert found himself somewhat addicted to it.

Before long, he finished eating.
