Chapter 1625

Chapter 1625

Ms. Simmons looked a bit surprised, “Does Emily know?”

“She doesn’t, you can tell her!” Charlie said with a charming smile, “If you’re worried, you can come

along”

“No, why would I be worried when Kya was with you?” Ms. Simmons laughed, 1 know, you’re the best

for Kya!”

Charlie gave a slight smirk, and carried Kya towards his car.

“Where are we going?” Kya asked with her innocent, wide eyes.

“Grandma said she misses you and asks me to take you to her house to see the sparrow. Would you

like to go?” Charlie replied warmly with a smile.

“Yes, but can we bring mom along?” Kya asked.

If she knew, she would come on her own!”

Charlie carried Kya into the car and instructed Kent to head to the James family’s residence.

During the ride, Kya was full of excitement and talked incessantly with Charlie.

Charlie had been rather anxious these past few days. He gradually found his calming as he listened to

Kya’s childish voice, a smile constantly in his eyes.

When they reached the residence, the car passed through the ornate iron gate, and drove directly into

the spacious courtyard.

Kya gazed at the large garden outside with curiosity.

As the car came to a stop, Charlie carried Kya out. Mrs. James had already been informed by one of

the maids and came out of the mansion with a delighted smile, “You really brought Kya here?”

She approached and took Kya in her arms, “Sweetie, do you remember grandma?” novelbin

Kya pursed her little mouth into a smile and nodded, “I do!”

“Such a sweet girl!” Mrs. James couldn’t help but pinch Kya’s soft, fair cheeks as she carried her into

the mansion, “Grandma will get you something yummy treats.”

Kya was still thinking about the bird. She asked, “Where’s Boogoo?”

it’s in the backyard. I will take you to see it later” Mrs. James replied gently with a smile and then she

turned to look at Charlie, who had followed them. “Who’s Kya’s mother?”

“She’ll come over by soon. You’ll meet her shortly” Charlie replied calmly.

A hint of surprise flashed across Mrs. James’ face, as she had a feeling that Charlie bringing Kya home

today had some other implications.

Charlie went upstairs to make a call while Mrs. James sat with Kya and enjoyed pudding cake and

afterward, she took Kya to the backyard.

The residence had a large garden with tall, valuable trees. And daisy flowers in various colors

surrounded the stone path. At the end of the path was a pond, and beyond that, wooden stairs led

directly into the mansion.

Landon was the one who took care of the garden. In the afternoon, the other maids were resting in their

rooms, only Landon was tidying up the garden, gathering fallen leaves.

“Landon!” Mrs. James called out with a smile, “Where’s the sparrow? Its young owner has come.

“Malam!” Landon walked over with a smile, but the smile faded when he saw Kya in Mrs. James’ arms.

“What’s wrong? Bring the sparrow for Kya to see,” Mrs. James laughed.

Landon hesitated, “This child?”

“She’s the one I mentioned to you earlier, the child who found the sparrow. Her mother is a friend of

Charlie, Isn’t she cute?” Mrs. James held Kya and smiled

Kya looked at Landon and suddenly smiled and sweetly called out, “Grandpa!”

A loving smile spread across Landor’s face as he put down his gardening tools, I’ll go get the sparrow.”

As he walked towards the tree where the birdcage hung, he couldn’t help but glance back at Kya, who

was being held by Mrs. James. He sighed in amazement that Kya’s looked so muck like Charlie!

Charlie was grown up in front of his eyes. While others might forget how Charlie looked as a child,

Landon never did. Kya looked so much like the young Charliel
