Chapter 618 The Richardson family

Maximilian paused and thought for a while, as he had heard about seclusion families.

Seclusion families were usually families that did not want to get involved in secular matters in the

outside world.

Besides, these families were usually martial art practitioners, so the other reason they did not want to

come out was that they did not want to hurt innocent people

In most o cases, they chose to let some agents run the companies, and their offspring went out for

challenges from time to time. This was why they were mysterious.

Maximilian was curious about them.

Generally speaking, Victoria should not have the chance to get in touch with seclusion families, as she

was just from a small family.

If Maximilian could really get help from a seclusion family, the event might be hosted smoothly.

Victoria got stunned, “Does seclusion family really exist? I thought he was just bragging.”

Victoria could not understand the concept of a seclusion family.

She did not care too much about this from the beginning, because she knew little about the martial-art

part about seclusion families.

“Seclusion family was real, but how do you know him? Why did he give you the promise?” Maximilian

confirmed her question, but asked.

Victoria smiled, “I knew him when I was in college. Actually, he was not technically my classmate.”

“I was hanging out with friends outside of the campus, and then saw a beggar getting bullied, so I

helped him and gave him 500 dollars.”

“After that, he said this to me and gave me his contact number. He promised that I could call him at any

time.”

“I just thought it was interesting, since he was just a beggar. It was a bit weird to hear that from him.”

Maximilian knew what was going on.

When those kids from seclusion families were experiencing challenges in the outside world, the family

would not give them any help.

They dared not to fight randomly. Otherwise, they would receive warnings from the country.novelbin

That was why that kid did not fight back, but was saved by Victoria in his most helpless time.

He revealed his identity and gave Victoria his promise to show appreciation.

Though Victoria did not understand the meaning of this sentence, Maximilian did. In addition, judging

from his expression, he was most likely the successor of the family!

Maximilian immediately showed a smile on his face.

As long as he could get help from this family, there would be no more problems with the housewarming

banquet.

With this thought, Maximilian said, “Do you still have his contact number?

“Yes, it’s in the drawer at home. I kept it well, since I did have some expectations and curiosity about

this man.” Victoria said with a smile.

“Good. Let’s call him tonight. We’ll go and see him tomorrow.” Maximilian gripped his fist, feeling

excited.

“Ok.” said Victoria.

Then Maximilian speeded up towards home.

Once they got home, Victoria got the number. As it was too late at that time, they did not make the call

until the next morning.

“Hello, is this Mr. Richardson?”

“Yes. Are you the girl who did me a favor?” A clean voice came through the phone.

“Ha? You still remember me?” Victoria was surprised.

Maximilian knew it. Usually, kids from seclusion families did not tell others their real contact information.

Even if they did, they would use the temporary number used in the society, and would abandon them

after they went home.

The phone number Mr. Richardson gave Victoria was probably the one he used at home. Maybe he

only gave it to Victoria, so he was sure it was her when she called.

“Of course, I remember you.” A light chuckle came through the phone, “If it weren’t for you, I probably

would’ve died on the street, and may not be able to return to my family. I surely remember you.”

Maximilian could feel the respect Mr. Richardson had for Victoria.

“Why do you call me now? Do you need any help? I’ll arrange it for you right now. No matter what it is

about, I can get it covered.” Mr. Richardson said with a smile.

Maximilian could confirm that Mr. Richardson was a decent man.

This kind of people kept their promises and never postponed favors. That was why he could talk so

straightforwardly.

“We do need some help, but I can’t make it clear through the phone.” Victoria frowned. Then, she

continued, “If it is convenient for you tomorrow, can I visit you with my husband?”

She mentioned her husband to see his reaction.

“Oh, you are married. Right, you are at the right age.” Mr. Richardson sounded surprised, without

revealing any other emotion.

“Sure, we don’t need to wait for tomorrow. Let’s just meet in this afternoon. I’m in the city now. How

about we meet in Peach Blossom Tavern at 3 pm.?” Mr. Richardson asked.

Victoria let out a sigh.

She was glad that he took her request well. Otherwise, she would not know what to do.

This was because she thought it rude to make this call.

However, Mr. Richardson just dealt with it like it was a small thing in life and made her feel respected.

“Ok, I will go out and meet you with my husband.” Victoria smiled.

“Ok. See you later.”

“Ok.” Victoria hung up the call contentedly.

“I didn’t expect that he would have such a good attitude. I thought he already forgot about it.”

Maximilian smiled, “He seemed to be a good person. Since the meeting is in the afternoon, I am going

to handle something else now.”
