Chapter 633

"Aunt Jovane!" Jensen spoke, "Alice didn't take the initiative to tell me. It was I who found a clue and

forced her to tell me. She didn't even tell me anything which is why I came to ask you."

Upon hearing Jensen's defense for Alice, Jovane didn't say a word. She just smiled calmly.

Jensen frowned. "Aunt Jovane, I thought that you were different from my mother."

"Jensen, even so," Jovane started, "I now feel that she is not strong enough. Even if she stays with

you, she can't deal with your mother. It will be a tragedy if the two of you stayed together."

Jensen was suddenly hit by Jovane's words.

"It's not easy to deal with your mother," Jovane stated bluntly. "I'm not afraid if you tell these to Rosalie

so I'm going to tell you straightforwardly. You were also having a hard time with your mother and your

little girlfriend is still young. She was about to cry the moment someone scolded her. Such a weak

person can't deal with Rosalie. If she can't, how can she stay in your family?"

Jensen remained silent as he fell into his thoughts, not knowing what to reply.

"If you have come this far, I think that she must've wanted to break up with you." Jovane smiled faintly

and continued, "If she wants to break up with you, she's a smart person. It's better to stay away than to

be angry in the future. She's smart. So, when she asked you to break up with her, you don't have to

worry about it. This was inevitable."

"Aunt Jovane, can you not discourage me?" Jensen was extremely anxious. "I didn't come here to

listen to these words."

"Jensen, then what did you come here to listen to?" Jovane asked with a smile. "Did you want to listen

to my praise?"

"What in the world did my mother say?" Jensen asked. "I want to know everything that my mother

said."

"Here!" Jovane switched on her phone and searched for something. She then played a recording.

"Listen to it yourself."

Jensen didn't expect Jovane to have recorded it.

He looked at Jovane in shock.

"I had no choice. Your mother insisted on going to your place. I didn't want to go but I was afraid that

something would happen. I recorded this because I wanted you to listen to it. In case you guys really

did break up, at least you knew what was going on. It's better than worrying blindly," Jovane explained.

"Besides, both you and your uncle are cops. How could I not be careful?"

Jensen fell speechless.

The recording began and Rosalie's words were not pretty.

He heard Jovane's and Rosalie's conversation, and Alice's reply. He listened to them for a long time

until the recording had ended.

Jensen couldn't say a word as he sat on the sofa.

At that moment, Jensen suddenly understood why Alice had insisted on breaking up.

Sufferings and hardships didn't matter; what mattered was the humiliation of one's character. It was the

most infuriating and humiliating thing one could do to a girl.

Jovane looked at him and said, "Your mother is always impatient when she does things. I tried to

persuade her but she didn't listen to me. We don't know what she will be like in the future. Jensen,

objectively, I think you should find a strong girl, not a girl who lacks confidence and runs away when

she is in trouble."

"Aunt Jovane, Alice is not weak," Jensen explained. "She just hasn't encountered such a situation

before."

"Jensen, you don't need to keep speaking up for Alice. It's not that I don't like her," Jovane explained. "I

just think that she is not suitable for you."

"But if you say so, it's hard for me to accept it," Jensen replied. "I will feel that I am very useless, that I

let my girl be criticized like this."

"I didn't blame you," Jovane returned. "Let's analyze it, Jensen."

"Okay!"

"Actually, I also understand why you spoke up for Alice. After all, she is the girl you like. I have no

prejudice against her."

"I'm just speaking objectively. In terms of personality, she is not very suitable for you. Even if the two of

you are together now, if something happened in the future, can you two still be together without any

burdens? At that time, can she still accept you and walk down the path with you without any

complaints?"

"Aunt Jovane," Jensen started in a deep voice, "I don't know what will happen in the future. However, I

have to work hard to know the result. All relationships require effort and us trying our best to get along

with each other. I'm not willing to give up without trying hard."

"Then you can have a try," Jovane stated. "After all, this is your business. It was hard for Alice to bear

it, but she still scolded your mother in the end. If I was her, I might have scolded Rosalie more. These

years, I have finally gotten along with Rosalie, but I don't know if Alice has the patience to do it."

"But for now, she is not willing to take this road, so I advise you to look at it carefully. Don't wait until the

day when the conflicts become even more intense. There are many cases where couples fight and get

divorced after getting married. I just hope that you and everyone else will live well."

Jensen also felt the pressure. He was very agitated. He looked at Jovane and nodded. "I understand

your intentions."

Jovane's words had still caused a stir in Jensen's heart, which made him feel that Jovane's words were

not unreasonable.

This might also be the reason why Alice didn't want to be with him, because she didn't have the

confidence to face it with him.

"Jensen, you'd better think about it. If Alice is a girl whom you can walk the path together with, then you

go and work hard. If she's not, I advise you to let go of her, because it's good for the both of you."

"Aunt Jovane, thank you for your reminder but this is not what I wanted to hear!" Jensen stood up. "I

will go home now."

"Go!" Jovane sent him to the door. "Speak to your mother carefully. Her blood pressure is always high

and unstable. Don't upset her."

Jensen paused. His mother's blood pressure was unstable, so she shouldn't be angry. He understood

that naturally, but this couldn't be the reason for her to threaten others at will.

Jensen quickly left Jovane's house.

It was about 7:30 in the morning. He drove away and went straight home.

His home was in a middle-class residential area in Northern City. His father was also a policeman and

lived by his salary. Therefore, Jensen was not a person who had a lot of wealth.

The ten-mile Hart Villa District where he lived now belonged to Heinz. If Heinz didn't find a place for him

to live in, he couldn't even afford to buy a house.

He was also a policeman and lived on wages. No matter how good his income was, it could not match

the high housing prices in Northern City.

When he arrived at the gate of his house, he pulled over in the parking lot and got out of the car to go

into the house.

Their house was on the first floor, with a small yard in front of it. Normal people would walk on the stairs

at the back unit. Only Jensen's house was on the first floor, so they could walk through the front door.

When he opened the door, he saw the flowers and vegetables planted by his father in the yard. Henovelbin

sighed. His parents were on the verge of retirement now. They should have enjoyed a happy life, but

Rosalie was always bad-tempered and had caused trouble again and again.

"I'm back!" Jensen yelled at the door.
