Chapter 575

"Even if Zachary and I are confidantes, we can't fall in love." Heinz smiled wickedly. "Besides, I only

want to be confidantes with you. Only then can we become even more intimate."

Grace blushed and she mumbled, "Who wants to be intimate with you?"

"Of course it's you." Heinz reached out and touched her delicate nose, saying affectionately, "It can

only be you. I don't have any reaction to other women. You know this."

Grace was surprised; she suddenly remembered the scene between him and the actress from a few

months ago. No matter how the latter flirted with him, he didn't respond and had even satirized her.

Grace raised her head and looked at Heinz. The afternoon sun shone in from the glass window and his

handsome facial features were fully illuminated by the light. They were outlined with a layer of gold,

warm and pleasant to her eyes.

His eyes were dark, glistening and full of amorousness while his thin lips were curved into a shallow

smile.

He appeared so calm and handsome.

At that moment, Grace's heart had begun to warm up.

She reached out and held Heinz's face.

Her action made Heinz's eyes flash, and there was

an emotional light in his gaze.

He put his hands on her waist restlessly and pulled her into his arms with a little force.

The two of them clung to each other tightly.

"Grace," Heinz called out hoarsely in a magnetic tone. "I can't control myself if you take the initiative

like this."

Instead of letting go, Grace held his charming face tighter and replied, "What are you thinking about? I

did not come to Southland to do anything with you.”

"What do you mean?" Heinz smirked and he teased, "Explain yourself. I don't quite understand what

you're talking about."

"You don't understand?" Grace frowned.

This guy was teasing her again.

"Yeah, I really don't understand." Heinz grinned ambiguously. He blinked his eyes, and there was a

brighter gleam in his eyes this time. "Make it clear. I'm not sure what you want to do with me."

"Oh, stop it." Grace said seriously, "I’m talking about a serious matter."

Heinz immediately nodded as his eyes darkened. He responded, "I'm also seriously telling you that as

soon as you approach me and make a small move, I will not be able to control myself."

She frowned tighter and repeated, "I'm serious."

"Fine, go ahead." Heinz nodded, yet his hands were still very naughty.

Grace didn't care about him anymore. She simply stared into his eyes and said, "Thank you for what

you've done for my Grandma, Heinz."

Heinz was startled and his hands halted. "Why are you so polite? I'm not used to it."

"I'm sincerely thanking you," Grace said. "Zachary might be able to deal with it without you, but it

wouldn't have been easy."

According to her analysis, Charles' attitude towards Heinz was enough to explain the problem.

"Silly girl." Heinz didn't say much. He just smiled and hugged her tightly, overbearing and gentle.

"That's only my duty."

Grace continued, "That's why when Zachary and you teamed up, both your abilities and power cannot

be underestimated. I am very lucky to have met you. It is only because of your help that we can solve

Grandma's matter together. Thank you very much."

"Don't be so polite to me!" Heinz whined in a low voice, "I feel uneasy when you treat me like this."

Grace smiled and stood on her tiptoes, hooked her arms around Heinz's neck then kissed him.

Heinz's entire body froze at once.

The touch of her soft lips made him a little stun. After a long while, he reacted and dominated the kiss.

He was no longer satisfied with Grace's nonchalance. He quickly pried through her teeth and stuck his

tongue into her mouth. He was no longer polite. Instead, he behaved like a robber who was raiding a

house and plundering it.

Grace lost all her strength in an instant as well as her balance. She kissed Heinz so passionately that

she was almost out of breath.

It was not until a long time later that she realized she was carried by him to the bed and pinned down

on the mattress.

"Heinz!" Grace immediately panicked and urged, "You'd better get up. Now is not the time. Don't do

anything rash."

Heinz chuckled and reassured her, "Don't worry. I'm not that desperate. Even if I can't help it, I still have

to endure it."

After all, it was not the time for him to indulge in pleasure. He still had to help Grace with her grandma's

burial.

He slightly leaned to the side and stretched out his arm to hold Grace's body. He then closed his eyes

to rest, looking particularly lazy.

Grace let out a sigh of relief.novelbin

"However, you always rile me up and then leave me hanging." Heinz spoke again, "I wonder if I will be

able to survive if you keep teasing me like this every time."

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Grace chided angrily.

"I'm just saying the truth." Heinz opened his eyes slightly and gazed at her. There was a trace of

teasing in his deep eyes. "You did it on purpose just now. You're always treating your husband so

unfairly!"

"That's not true," Grace immediately retorted.

"Well get married as soon as we return home," Heinz stated firmly. "Let's hurry up and get the marriage

certificate so that I can rest assured after you become my legal wife."

Grace also hoped that that day would come.

She felt that recently, she was more and more looking forward to their life after marriage.

"Take a nap." Heinz said, "Rest well so we can be prepared to fight at all times."

Grace hummed in response.

Then, the two of them hugged each other and fell asleep soon.

However, concurrently.

In the Lowe family's ancestral home.

Master Lowe sat behind his desk with an urn on his desk.

He put on his reading glasses and scrutinized the urn in front of him. His hands and lips were slightly

trembling. His old hand, which was covered with black spots, quivered as he reached out to the urn.

It was right in front of him. Nonetheless, the moment his fingers were about to come in contact with the

urn, he abruptly withdrew his hand and it froze in mid-air.

He was alone in the study room.

Silence engulfed him, where even the sound of a pin falling could be heard.

Master Lowe trembled as he spoke softly, "Marilyn, y-you are a heartless woman!"

The room was too quiet.

After he finished speaking, he started to sob.

Master Lowe's wrinkled face began to be stained with tears, and his nose was snotty. He quickly

reached for a handkerchief, took off his glasses, and covered his face with the cloth.

"Why are you so cruel? I told you to leave and you actually left for half a century. You didn't even want

your children anymore. How could you be so cruel? You just left..."

The old man laid feebly on the table, and his frail body was shaking slightly as he cried.

"Even if I'm in the wrong, you can't be so cruel."

Despite his words, no one answered.

His beloved had already passed away.

There was no more Marilyn Yates in this world.

Master Lowe's wife was a stubborn person, even more stubborn than him.

He had never been willing to back down, but how could a woman like her be so strong and never

surrender to him?

If only she had backed down a little, they would not have been separated for half a century.

"You cruel woman, I have to hold back my anger for so many years. I have lived for so long just to wait

for you to come to me... but you left first. How cruel of you!"
